Well if united sign him our lack of klaas will be there for all to see.

*feels intense shame, leaves forum forever*

I hope he does join United - I think he's massively overrated, personally.

Those were my initial thoughts too

AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar arrives at Manchester airport - report
20 Jul 2010 18:38:00

AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has arrived at Manchester airport and is set for transfer talks with either Manchester United or Manchester City, according to talkSPORT.

The 26-year-old Netherlands international was previously linked with a move to either Aston Villa or Tottenham following last week's admission by AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani that he would be sold to a Premier League side.

Although both forwards were on the fringes of first team action, Manchester City have already let Valeri Bojinov and Benjani leave Eastlands, and have been in search of a player to add to their forward line since the beginning of the transfer window, having already been linked with Liverpool's Fernando Torres and Wolfburg's Edin Dzeko.

Manchester United, however, have already bolstered their forward line with the signing of Mexican striker Javier Hernandez from Guadalajara on May 27, following the granting of a work permit.

Huntelaar made four appearances for the Dutch during their World Cup campaign, scoring the winning goal in their 2-1 group stages win over Cameroon at Green Point Stadium.

Santa Cruz anyone?

If I had to pick between Huntelaar and Remy, well my choice would be quite obvious. Add Bellamy to the mix and my pick would still be Huntelaar.
Based on what? Has he scored regularly anywhere other than Holland?
I think that's a bit harsh Mr. T.

He scored 8 in 20 for Real Madrid, 7 in 25 for Milano and was NEVER given a run of starts. I think he's a good player (again, I don't know if he'll make it in England).

How would a slow, lazy goal-poacher compliment Torres 'wonderfully'?

Oh yeah, I forgot, you don't know *anything* about football.

My mistake, sorry

One of the lads is at melwood now, Sky are outside. They know nothing about huntellar being there so maybe another "Henry is buying a hous in Liverpool"

Wilson is having his medical at the moment.

The last few times I've seen Huntelaar, he's been awful.

A poacher, but slow as fuck and without much game intelligence aswell. I'd rather have Remy to be honest.

How exactly is he 'lazy'? Man, if football players were judged by 'scouts' like you, so many great players wouldn't have even made it.

To be fair I don't get how he'd complement Torres.

Fernando is our top scorer, and does so in part due to our formation. Changing that would limit Fernando's goals. I'd be much more confident in Fernando as our main goalscorer than Huntelaar.

As a back up to him then ok.

As a back-up currently means playing half of our games each season - which with Cole and Jovanovic in the team might not be a bad thing.

File huntelaar under O for overrated players that were good in football manager games or have fancy foreign names - along with quaresma cicinho van der vaart and the rest.
Yeah, and if players were judged by you, we'd have the worst Liverpool side in fucking *history*
Oh well, thanks for proving you have nothing to back up your 'lazy' line (you've probably rarely watched him) ... As stupid as your Aquilani slander. You're good at that. Btw, I think he'd be a back up option at best, as I don't see him doing well in Engalnd (oh wait, we agree on that? Sheesh)

Since you know how I rate most of our Liverpool team (in fact, we probably agree on most of the players on our squad), then your above statement only shows how you've really rebel'ized unfortunately. The only positive I can take from that is that no one bothers him anymore. A silver lining I guess.

People have been crying out for a 'Fowler/Van Nistelrooy' poacher to partner Torres. Huntelaar is exactly that. Torres creates space in the box and Huntelaar can bang them in.

But nevermind me as I don't know *anything* about football..

But Torres will get the majority of our goals. Perhaps we need a player who can compliment him, RVP for example would be the dream partner. Someone who can pick a pass and compliment him. We don't need someone to take the goalscoring burden from him but compliment his qualities and improve us.

Robin Van Persie is NOBODIES dream partner, unless you enjoy having someone bitch and moan at every available opportunity whilst throwing their arms around at every less than 100% pass; whilst also stabbing you in the back in the press...

I don't really think it follows that a 'poacher' is the dream partner for Torres. In all honesty, I don't think he likes to share that space with anyone, hence the ongoing dilemma for the Spanish national team. If I was going to suggest a dream partner for Torres, it would be a skillful, selfless, withdrawn striker who can create for him, and score a few himself. For me that player would be Aguero. RVP is another decent suggestion. Someone like Huntelaar, RVN, or indeed David Villa, would compromise his style of play, and ultimately get in his way.

He is an excellent player with great vision, skill and can score goals. He might be a cunt but he's a very good player.

I love Kuyt as much as anyone, but even I can admit that he's nobody's 'perfect partner'. He is neither skillful enough, creative enough, or prolific enough to fulfill that role.
