Reina

Johnson
Carra

Aurelio

Mascherano or Lucas
Gerrard

Kuyt
Benayoun
Riera

Torres

Yeah?

Hello freind! I agree with your selecting with one exception. I see no reason to be misplacing INSUA who is playing well and deserves a chance to make the left spot his own?

As for me I like Babel (on his day) so its good to put him on for the last 20 to try and build the slowly bulding confidence.

I'd love that team but I think we will see

Lucas Mash

Kuyt Yossi

Gerrard
Torres

I wouldn't mind Babel playing on the right instead of Kuyt.

Why not? The Dutchman is at the last chance and he knows it, maybe this will encourage him to play with more skill and forget his pipedreams. If not then sub him.

I'd like to see:

-------Torres------Kuyt---------
--Babel---Gerrard------Yossi
---------Mascherano----------

With Babel and Yossi interchanging and Gerrard playing slightly deeper than his free role of last season.

I think we should discuss how utterly shite Hull are.

Hey everyone - How utterly shite are Hull, in your opinion?

Yeah, that's the team I was going to pick. Riera is hardly playing out of his skin at the moment, and Babel deserves a chance after the last three games. He'll probably be shit again if we start him in the PL, but you never know.

And yes, Hull are shit. But they did score two goals against us and get a draw last season, so let's not suck ourselves off just yet. Hopefully Dossena won't be playing this time...

Don't disagree with any of that Mista. We need to ease Aurelio back anyway. No need for a player returning from injury to play 2 games in a week.

Lucas is a cert after not being involved against Leeds, as is (as always) Kuyt and probably Yossi, too. I wouldn't rule out Carra getting a rest before Fiorentina away either.
Aurelio to get 15-20 minutes and play against Fiorentina, he usually does well in Europe.

you love tempting fate, don't you ryan?

Maybe something like this;

................................Pepe..................................

Johnson.........Carra.........Skrtl..................Insua

...................Lucas..............Aurelio.....................

Kuyt.........................Gerrard......................Yossi

...............................Torres.................................

Kyrgiakos did very well last night and I'd be tempted to throw him in the mix after the defensive shambles at West Ham, but he's probably not quite there yet in terms of fitness. He looked knackered at the end last night.

Masher isn't back to his best just yet and with another 90 minutes in his legs last night I wouldn't mind seeing Aurelio get another go in CM, especially with the opposition in mind. We are going to enjoy loads of possession.

The rest gives itself.

Good side squiggles but i would stick Babel on the right Beniyoun on the left.
would agree with that bob and welcome!!

Reina
Johnson Carra Skittles Insua
Babel Gerrard Masher Riera
Kuyt Torres

Have that.
Yossi has to start. He's miles better than Riera.

Welcome.

I did say they should switch throughout depending on effectiveness. Babel's look good on the right at times but Yossi has looked devastating at times this season with none of those performances coming from the left side. Anyway, it's a minor point. I just hope we field a team with attacking intent. As ever, though, Lucas is nailed onto start.

When is Agger going to be fit? This would be his kind of game if he's OK physically.
He was meant to be included in last nights squad wasn't he?

He is training again however and should be very close to full fitness is the last I've heard.

What Paddy said, the strongest team possible will be played.
Get stuck into them early doors and stuff them like we should have done last year at Anfield.

Oh and we must take 6 points off them this season.

Not just for our benefit but so nobody has to endure Phill fucking Brown any longer.

Reina

Johnson
Carra Kyriakos - Two reasons Carra is off form of late.. and hull will be playing hoof ball..
Skrtel
Aurelio Insua - deserves to keep his place.

Mascherano or Lucas
Gerrard Lucas - been rested for a reason

Kuyt
Benayoun Gerrard
Riera Benayoun - been rested for a reason

Torres

Yeah? - No it will be a familiar line up.. Although I would like to see the attacking formation as you put it.. It just won't happen, even against the like of Hull 🙁

Lucas is definitely gonna play..same team as last week i reckon..hull are an absolute joke 3-0
They are poor, but they'll scrap and scratch for everything. I think we'll win all right (witness the fact that I've picked us in the Last Team Standing thread this week) but I have a feeling it may be closer than we'd like.

Hmmm. 4-0 to Everton. Maybe I was wrong.

Actually, no I wasn't. We'll still make hard work of it.

As shite collectively as Dossena could a performance muster.

That's scraping it to say the fucking least.

They are utterly utterly shite, and we can forget about any Title-challenges if we can't beat that rubbish.
