Hull v LFC Ressies

Buchtmann and Palsson have been very good after they came on. There is a lot of talent and excellent prospects in this team.

Hats of to McMahon aswell, he's doing a great job.

Pacheco runs again down the right and hits the post! He seems faster and is really exciting.

4-1 FT.

Maybe we should send this entire team out for the next few fixtures.

Hahahaha. I was thinking the same thing. Our reserves do look class at their level. Mavinga/Ayala are a great CB pairing..Our full backs know when to attack and when to defend. Whoever plays in CM is comfortable on the ball but also has the positional sense to provide a defensive shield.

Definetly. He's been the stand out in this match. Fantastic.

Saw the last 10 mins, and yeah, Pacheco looked good. Very direct, good control. He does look tiny, but would surely be worth a go in one of the three positions behind the striker, especially as Yossi is now out.

That sounds like something from Jeremy Kyle.

That was very much a top of the table performance. Very mature, assured and confident, with all of the players quite happy to move around and support each other. Ayala and Darby were solid in defence. Threlfall made some strong and effective challenges, but needs to get a bit fitter. Irwin was his usual busy and inventive self linking defence with attacks. Palsson, when he came on, was very powerful, passed well, had a couple of good shots and was a dominant figure in the middle. Buchtmann also looked a formidable presence when he came on later, adding further strength and urgency down the left. Eccleston and Amoo were as expected: fast, direct and lively, and Amoo deserved a hat trick. But the star was Pacheco without a doubt: stronger and pacier than he's seemed in the past, very clever, very confident, full of tricks but now much more urgent and decisive where it matters. he had a hand in most of what we created, had a couple of brilliant runs and all in all gave a performance that just screamed 'Give me a chance in the first team!'

Take a leaf out of the Arse's book and use them as our Carling Cup side perhaps?

At least there'd be cohesion and understanding, in contrast to the dog's dinner of a side we often put out in the cup.

Buchtmann has played a decent cameo - he looks to pass quickly and looks very sharp.
[/quote]
That's not a sign of a good fullback.

worst comes to worst (which let's face it, probably will happen)
we can sell all these lot for a tidy amount.

*disclaimer*
not that I want to, but really come on with our previous experiences how many have really come through

That's not really worst comes to worst. If we can start making some proper money out of decent reserve players that aren't quite good enough for us, you have to call that a real success.

I think Pacheco should really be making the bench over the next few games if Riera and Yossi are going to be out.

Threlfall looked good in the FA Youth Cup, but I reckon he's squad filler these days after a couple loan spells and will end up going for a pittance.

Thanks for that. He sometimes plays further forward in midfield or even on the wing, as he did tonight.

I think I am going to champion Ecclestone, having seen him play about 10 minutes of football

He fits my wholly cliched view of what 'exciting Liverpool footballers' should look like; black, athletic, fast and skilful

After the disappointments of Cisse, Diouf and Babel, I would like Eccers to be the 'new John Barnes'

Thankyou please

Yes, I've seen flashes of real quality from Amoo every time I watch the ressies.

Cheers for the updates.

Having just watched the highlights I reckon it's fair to say we should promote Pacheco immediately - and let him heep the no. 10 shirt too.

Thank you.

I'm subscribing to the e-ticket on the official mate, as it seemed to be the only way for me to watch the Reserves regularly. So far it's money well spend to be honest.

Why the frig would you take Aquilani with the first team to play 7minutes on a monday instead of letting him play with the reserves on Tuesday night. Stupid stuff.
