Hoffenheim

Salah was the lowpoint for me. Exactly what I expected when we signed him. Pace without any control.
Hes shite.

That was exactly my opinion of him on Saturday - got in good positions but easily shrugged off the ball and you do get the feeling he will lose control of the ball within seconds of having it. I had the same thoughts when we signed him.

I'm worried Oncy had a stroke

Yeah I'm thinking so too.

Claiming that defence played well beggars belief, it really does. All Hoffenheim had to do was lump a ball forward and it was panic stations at the back for us, invariably resulting in one of their forwards being in on goal. Not to mention the set pieces which we were absolutely woeful at dealing with. I've never known a top tier team to have such a consistently bad defence.

As for Salah, this is the first time I've really seen him. He's got great movement and could've had a hat trick. He's a massive threat, he's going to score a hatful. The issues are it takes him 3 or 4 chances to score one. Movement is great, not sure about the rest of his game yet.

I thought Salah was a waste of money and a shite signing when we got him.

So far he has exceeded expectations and looks like he will be a great asset on the counter attack.

I think there is a proper love-in between Klopp and Moreno that we all have understand. Klopp likes him because he has two attributes that he looks for more in a player than brains....pace, and power. I think Klopp thinks - being the German that he is -- the game intelligence thing in a player is something they will learn with good coaching. I can understand that he may think this as otherwise what is the point of a coach ?

Or maybe Klopp sees himself in Moreno, a big grinning idiot?

Is that why he binned him for most of last season?

That pitch, by the way, was a bloody mole-friendly disgrace. There was one point where Klopp leaned over and replaced a huge divot that looked like a dismembered head.

Love in? He favoured a 31 year old midfielder over him for all of last season. Watford was his first League start in 10 months.

I feel like our matches is like watching two toddlers endlessly spinning foosball players around, and any result is pot luck.

Chaos is not a ladder. Chaos is watching LFC.

Did someone say Moreno played well?

Actual fuck?

I'd fucking euthanise the cunt now. Bring back Julian Dicks.

Still early days. We will work hard to adjust the things not clicking well. But all in all a great result in a game all about the result.

Regarding left back it is clear that Milner is now considered an option in midfield, hence he doesn't spend his time working on that lb duties. Midfield sorely need more adjustment to control games better. Will be interesting to ser how that looks after sept 1.

Their goal was all about waving hands rather than defending the ball. Having said that the urgency and willingness to defend, especially set pieces, was better than the weekend.

One thing that remains constant is the moaning and hate among the socalled fans... it's just worse game by game. Even winning a tough away game in Europe gets you nothing but negative shit. What do people expect and cherish. That we only play shit teams which have nothing to offer? We are not in perfect shape yet (early days yet) but has scored 5 away goals already. Last season game 2 was away to Burnley. Poor game but we kept on working and had a decent autumn anyway.

Cocky twat. Does he realise they lost the game?
To be fair, if we put in a performance like they did, and dominated most of the game AND missed a pen, we'd be fuming if we lost via a set piece and deflection

Nothing wrong with a lack of grace in defeat if it's justified

Wrongly given penalty as well because Gnabry was offside. Thats two dodgy offside decisions in two games against us.

I don't think he was offside.

It was one of those "I've seen em given" offsides, you could argue either way and neither side would agree

Well, that's no more than an opinion. You sound like an apologist for Ginsoak and Mourinho. I think it's a pretty stupid thing for him to have said. He needs to learn when to shut up. It's that kind of comment that can come back to embarrass him. And I hope it does.

Dominated the game wasn't my perception at all though.
They had the majority of possession but frankly lacked any creativity in the final third.

All three of their opportunities came from the calamity called the left side of our defence.

Whereas we could have scored another 6-7 goals (without exaggeration) had we been totally clinical (Salah 2, Lovren 2, Firmino, Mane, 3 v 1 when ref failed to play advantage) and those are only the real chances.

We played shite overall yet conversely could have embarrassed them.
