maybe it is the gulf in class between our best players and worst players. other teams have a squad of more or less comparable ability, and so that might help them form a cohesive team. but when you have a squad where torres has to play with n'gog. or gerrard has to play with lucas. maybe on paper you take an average and think the team should be top 4. but in reality having such polar extremes doesn't balance somewhere in the middle, rather it just creates imbalance and instability and everything just gets torn to shreds.

i'm being a 'tosser' because i don't like squiggles, and his posts generally get up my nose more than anyone's. i was rude to mark 1975 because he continues to be needlessly abusive to mr_moo even though i'd made it clear to everyone that he's a friend and nowhere near as bad as he'd come across - and also because the 'pre-madonna' thing was just so hilariously thick to me that i still half suspected it was a joke, and i kind of wanted to know for sure.
