Hendo today

He should be dropped.

I can see him being sold this summer. Too many doubts about his injury and his form is erratic as a result.

Yeah Henderson was awful. What dickhead makes that vid and asks for retweets though? Like is he a Liverpool fan? Imagine making a video to show up one of our players in the hope of getting retweets. Needy cunt.

Fair point. Oh, you were talking about the tweet?

The Benny Hill accompaniment was perfectly apt. I'd have preferred the little bald-headed guy (forget his name) to Henderson yesterday. At least running around at double-speed may have confused them somewhat.

Is he still bothered by his injuries? Or is he suffering from a lack of confidence?

Klopp probably doesn't help by playing him in a position where his weaknesses are exposed.

It would have worked better if we had lump it up from behind and hope for the best.

Hendo was so slow to control the ball and was totally clueless to how to recycle the ball. Granted he is not a defensive midfielder but he is still a central midfielder by trade and he couldn't cope with Burnley coming at him at all. Burnley had 4 players in our half trying to pressure us, by the time Hendo was done getting the ball out of our half they had 11 players back. That's how slow he had moved the ball. Pathetic performance.

Oh and Lallana, he need to know that touching the ball 5-10 times in the same spot doesn't mean shit. He needs to stop trying to be clever and move the ball. By the time be finishes his twisting repertoire everyone was at a standstill watching him fuck around.

Pathetic midfield we had yesterday. It took 1 debutant foreign to the league to send us packing.

We're about 3 million on the positive side regarding spending. There is no excuse for not adressing our issues.

Of course there is. It doesn't matter how much money the club has, if the players Klopp wants are not available then we wait. It's important to make the distinction between not sorting out the problem and waiting for the right solution. We can never be 100% certain, but given a bid went in for a left back; it seems that that position is one that Klopp is looking to address and is waiting for the right solution. DM is less clear.

But having money isn't an automatic reason to spend, splashing what we have on dross is one of the reasons that the title wait has been so long.

I really want to like Henderson and I wouldn't sell him but fuck me he should not be wearing that armband.

Henderson's not a playmaker or a passer. His strengths are his energy and enthusiasm and he can hit a decent cross from time to time.

Asking him to be play like Alonso is asking for trouble.

I like Henderson both as a person and a player. But the fact is that he is never going to be talented enough to be that influential midfielder we so badly need. So, sadly, I have to say that we need somebody better.

He's definitely been restricted by this injury, he could hit long 25-30 passes into players before. Now he seems completely reluctant to play it long and even the fairly rudimentary passes are going astray. As said, he's never played the disciplined role, he's always been about energy and covering ground. If Klopp has taken this decision to accommodate whatever he has lost in that sense, then he's missing the point completely.

He needs hooking and Klopp needs to strike some balance back in the midfield. Wijnaldum playing deep isn't working because he's not industrious enough and I'm not sure he deserves to take one of the front spots yet. Grujic deserves a chance and it's completely criminal that Origi is on the bench behind the likes of Firmino and a well short of fitness Sturridge.

Matip needs a couple of easy games to get upto speed and then I'd be looking at replacing Lovren with him. But we need to buy, we need a quality left back and we need Can back in the side. Preferably alongside either Milner or Grujic.

-----------------Karius-------------------
Clyne----Matip-----Klavan---??????
-----------Can---Grujic-----------------
--Mane----Wijnaldum-----Coutinho--
----------------Origi-----------------------

That's as good as we get right now.

Joe Allen , he's what we needed yesterday , a combative player that can sit in front of the cbs and play football too .

Henderson has been below par for 12 months , his intensity and energy levels aren't what they were before and he doesn't really offer anything that Lucas , Allen etc offer .

Id certainly play milner in the middle ahead of him . I'd suggest that while wijnaldum was tidy when he was deep yesterday that it's wasting his besting talents too .

I'm not sure what our best midfield is but with our current personnel it has to include can and Milner for me

Not spending is generally a pretty bad policy in an inflationary environment.

If we really have been waiting for particular players to become available that seems like bad news to me. Good players aren't that scarce. There's no reason we shouldn't have 4 or 5 alternatives to any priority target.

The team is really crying out for a central midfielder that cant create or score and is weak as a kitten.

We get one of those in we are guaranteed to beat teams like Burnley.

I'm surprised you even bothered. Joe Allen. I am still not convinced it's some sort of whoosh!
