Have I got this right? (Ticket sales)

I live in Southampton and want to start going to more away games next season. It's easier for me to travel to London for away fixtures in the capital or Southampton and surround area than it is to drive 4hrs and back to Liverpool - I usually try and source tickets off Twitter but of course this is unreliable.

If I buy a fancard will I be able to buy away tickets when they go on sale in July/November (according to information posted earlier in the thread) or are these sales only for home games? Or are Away Tickets 2014-2015 prioritised for people that bought away tickets in 2013-2014

Your chances of getting an away ticket is slim to none. There's usually a requirement for those buying away tickets, like having been to four away games the season before.

I once had this brilliant idea to watch Liverpool away games in London considering that there are a few London teams i the prem. Problem is, every foreigner has the same though. Liverpool games in London are more often than not sold out.

So, I went online just now (8am) to tickets.liverpoolfc.com to see if I could get any of the general sale tickets for Manchester City (on sale at 8.15am) and I immediately got put into a queue, which it reckons will last an hour, is this normal?? I wasn't expecting to get any, just test the waters, but this seems extreme!

The wait time for members sale used be two to three minutes earlier in the season. I was quoted 20 mins this morning then it jumped to an hour then randomly got in but it was sold out. Ha.

As for away tickets, it seems to be impossible. I think if you have the credits built on your card from day one you are okay. I seems impossible to build credits otherwise.

Heh, so much drama. How long does it take the main sales in July/November to sell out? All those games cant sell out that quickly, can they?

If it's a Cat A game it starts with a members sale with an x amount of credits on their card.

The next day it's a members sale for anyone who has paid membership. This is when you will be buying.

If it's a CAT B game all members have equal chance on the same morning.

Sale will close. The amount of tickets allowed for that sale is usually taken up by then. Then closer to the actual game you will see a general sale and then a late availability. These are usually a free for all but depending on the game. The Sunderland game that was re arranged was easy enough to get tickets for in the later sales.

Sunderland tickets still popping up as of now. I was messing around with it and I've a ticket in LC in the my basket.

Okay cool, i'd like to get some tickets in the sale, gives plenty of time to arrange coming up. Don't care if it's category A or B, so hopefully as long as I'm online on time, I should have a decent chance? Ideally I'll try and get tickets for two or three games in the July sale, is that being overly ambitious?

It's my birthday as well, oh how i'd love to go, but alas, too short notice with work.

Ah no, I got Man City and Sunderland tickets in the one sale last year. You can add more tickets to your basket and then purchase all together.

Am I right in thinking that you only have five minutes to purchase tickets after adding them to your basket.
That was how I lost a couple for the Man U game a few seasons back🙁
Mad that there are still some tickets available for the Sunderland game.
Is that because it is a midweek game or because it is Sunderland?
Does it give us any hope for getting tickets late on for the Man City game?
