He couldnt have been under more scrutiny and put in an utterly flawless performance. Great handling and barking orders at his defence, I thought he was superb last night and one of only 2 players (as well as Carra) to take any credit out of a dismal team performance.

It seems an age ago that he played for us and has developed considerably from the 'Calamity' days but I hope he goes on to have another stormer in the Slovenia game (and hopefully beyond that)

I thought he was meh, though he wasn't tested at all. Bad communication with his CBs on a couple of occasions, an awful punch in the one thing he had to do all game. Anything else I'd expect a Sunday league keeper to handle.

I'm keeping my hat on thanks.

Me too. His lack of shouts to his CB's was criminal, & most out of sorts. His mouth & confidence are his best assets now he's grown as a player & man, & they were lacking.

That said I think any keeper coming in having watched Green made a scapegoat in the press would be understandably nervous. I expect better next game.

All he needed to do was not fuck up. I'm thankful for that much at this point.

Well yeah, that's kinda what I aimed at in the second part. If he's not back to his usual self bawling at the CB's & anyone else in earshot next game I'll be amazed.

He must have been well nervous that game.

Did he make some comment after the game directed an Cappelo? Something along the lines of the manger putting extra pressure on? I turned the radio on as he finished speaking.

To be fair, I thought he was bawling at his defenders.

Admittedly, it isnt hard to look good following Rob Green but I thought he looked dominant and when he came out and held on to the corner, it was probably the best moment of the game!

Going on from this tournament though, I cant see how Rob Green can come back, not so much because of the error but simply because he isnt good enough. I'd deffo go with Hart from now on and then stick with him regardless.

The England keeper graveyard is a busy place.
