It was the also second time we scored more than once against them there in 15 years.

By the way "crump", did you ever DJ at Cream in Liverpool?

I think I'd prefer to win. Or get a point. But that's just me, you and Dreamy can wank eachother off about how great we were.
or at the very least 'play' to win.

The point is, I'm sure you'll realise, that it's a massive blip when we do win there and you can't judge the boss now. Like Rafa hasn't managed to completely fuck Inter up yet, it will take more than a few games. Nice that Budgie already has a higher win percentage than Rafa. I love crap stats me.

No I played at the techno / drum n bass thingies. The bigger parties were in the midlands / south.

we don't have a divine right to win games, it's about who puts in the most effort on the day and a small amount of luck. that said, as football fan I expect nothing less then the 11 players representing liverpool to at the very fucking LEAST attempt to win the game. I expect that and frankly the money I pour in liverpool each year, I DESERVE that.

Hey spider, have you ever been on My Sweet Sixteen? I recognise your sense of entitlement from somewhere.

😛

Come on then DB. Regardless of team selection we've just had arguably our worst result for over half a century and second ever (maybe first competitive?) penalty shootout loss, but I'm sure there were plenty of encouraging signs we're missing by being short sighted eh?

I'm numb, I can't believe this.

This is worse than when he was at Fulham.

That team had 6 regulras; we should have won that easily.

'It was the first time in 6 years we passed the ball around at OT'

Dreamy types this shit, and wonders why everyone thinks he's retarded.

We lost.

And two years ago, WE FUCKING WON HERE 4-1

Where was your cunty post then?
If we pass the ball like that for the rest of the season we will beat most teams.

If you can't see the positives in our passing then fair enough.

We'll see who is right by seasons end and for the last few years I've been on the money.
Seriously... how are we going to beat teams by passing the ball sideways and backwards between our midfield and defence.

It's "great" that we achieved the high standard of retaining the football in the areas Utd players weren't intensely pressuring us, but you'll note that the minute we got anywhere near the attacking third of the pitch we were beyond useless. 0 shots on target and 6 shots off target, half of which were from outside the area.

We're not going to spank other teams playing like we did againjst Man Utd because we had absolutely no width and no urgencey about our build up play and we spent most of the time passing the ball in the middle third and defensive third of the pitch.

We did well to get back in to the game, but if our masterplan is to pass the ball about in our own half until someone fouls Torres in or around the box then it's going to be a very long season.

Wow 2 goals with none on targert thats pretty impressive

I suppose it should come as no surprise to anyone that whichever binary position Dreamy decides to occupy, he's quite annoying and rubbish

Ha ha.

And I was rubbished before and I'll be rubbished again, but time will tell Brendan.

This.

Those were my exact feelings after the game too

This.
Dont always agree with you Dreamy but i certainly do here. Some of the posts on here since the final whistle today are just apalling. As i said in another post, fuck off and support some other team, if you're not prepared to support the team and manager after 5 games, that includes games against city, arsenal and scum.
Annnnd this.

Agreed, BUT there's no need to turn a blind eye to mistakes and cock-ups.

That's one reason we're in the mess we are.

edit.

Only thing that could possibly excite about the current state of affairs is that Hodgson might be sacked sooner rather than later.
I'm assuming they made sure he can be sacked fairly cheaply if they wish to do so this time?
We'll probably have to pay him life insurance though.

Can't wait for DB's latest post.
I'm gonna stay up all night waiting for it.

Tomkins will be busy saying it's only the London-based media who say we're shit, and point to Guardian chalkboards of why we're brilliant, and take ten thousand words to say so.

Do you remember the arrogant spell he revelled in Benitez's final year?

I haven't cringed so badly since The Office.
