and Budgie is so far out of his fucking depth he's got the bends.

ha ha

I'm waiting for your patented 'thanks for (insert crowning acheivement) now fuck off' mail.

A little bit over positive in terms of table prediction but yeh ... i can see what you mean .... some of our passing was neat yesterday and we did keep the ball well, didnt do much with it mnd you but... yeh.

I have been more upset after a United game.

dreamy would put a positive spin if we got relegated. 🙂

I have but only because I've gone into them with higher expectations.

We didn't have a single shot on target yesterday from open play. Can that be right?

Those were my exact feelings after the game too
What ?! You were one of the worst in the match thread. Go back and read your own words. Or maybe it was Roy you were after, I can't be bothered going back to check.

Couldn't agree more Dreamy. We passed the ball around superbly - beautiful stuff - and not just in own half. Nobody goes to OT and has more possession than United, yesterday we edged it. The lack of creativity came from Cole & Maxi I'm afraid. Cole was great on the ball but his final passes and decision making were abysmal. Maxi was ..... well everyone saw. N'Gog made a terrible decision when going for Row Z instead of playing in Torres who had cut away. Meireles was unlucky not to get his head on that superb Poulson pass and make it 2-3. We were unlucky not to get a point.
I wasn't being serious.

Oh and yes I thought we were shit yesterday apart from a ten minute spell but unlike others I wasn't going after Roy. Its a bit unfair to be slamming the guy after a few games considering he's had fuck all to spend and been left with a squad that wasn't really good enough
OK. Just didn't come across well on the interweb then. Sarcasm often doesn't.

Don't agree with your assessment of the team's performance - but do with your stance on the treatment of RH.

We don't have a chance in hell of finishing 4th this season.
Was going to say exactly the same thing.

I do agree that some of the comments are beyond belief in their one eyed desperation to create a headline on an internet forum with negative remarks. Hammering a new manager 6 weeks into a 10 month season makes the poster a figure of derision with a lonely life.

Having said that I expect the top 5 to be well and truly settled before Roy or anyone else can really start making something happen. The mancs and Chelsea will certainly not be waiting around, Arsenal will not be far behind while both Spurs and City are significantly ahead of us in quality. 6th will be an improvement, strictly speaking, but its more to do with the way we're playing second half of the season IMO. If we're a team that does actually go out and win games rather than one which can benefit from opposing teams losing to then I'll be genuinely encouraged. There's enough talent in the team to win plenty of games but whether this talent is made apparent on a consistent basis will define our season.

'It was the first time in 6 years we passed the ball around at OT'

Dreamy types this shit, and wonders why everyone thinks he's retarded.

We lost.

And two years ago, WE FUCKING WON HERE 4-1

Where was your cunty post then?

people can post mails in an attempt to get us excited and that is to be admired but it's hard to get excited about a manager who is has been mediocre in the past, is showing mediocrity now and to make matters worse the people telling me to give the manager time and 'the liverpool way' are the same people who wanted shot of the previous manager after essentially one bad season. I'm having trouble mustering loyalty towards a manager appointed by a board I hate and want gone.

it just doesn't feel right.

I have been shocked at the personal insults on here about Roy, his age, his looks ETC after only 5 games
Were you really shocked?

A number of posters were ripping into him before a ball was kicked, it was likely to increase after a number of poor results in the first few games.

were blessed to get all three points home to ...........................
Wolves.

Spurs have got the CL to worry about. Anyways I reckon if we finish above Citeh we'll be in the top 4, and having seen all their games so far the only time they've played well was against us. Yesterday was the worst football match I've been to since... I went Birmingham last week...OK... I'm just saying they're really shit and there's no reason to assume we won't be above them soon if we stick a run together during these easier fixtures.

There's so much wrong with this post i just don't know where to start.

The manager is mediocre .... right ... based on what exactly ? Has he failed everywhere he has been ?

You don't want to give him a sixth league game yet "one bad season" wasn't reason to give Rafa the boot. If you want to get into the reason Rafa got the boot it has a lot more to do with it than "one bad season".

And you hate the Board ? Care to explain why ? Is it because they've just gone about doing their jobs while ignoring all the idiots ?

EVERY team, bar chel$ki, will drop silly points this year... I don't think that the gap between 2nd and 6th will be huge, to be honest. Spurs have lost to Wigan (at home) and been held by West Brom. They're hardly Marco Van Basten's AC Milan.

There are probably 4 better squads out there than ours. And Sprus' is comparable (but not better in my opinion).

Of course 4th is possible. We're 3 points off 4th, 6 points off 2nd, there's still 99 points to play for, and we've gotten almost half of our toughest games out of the way already.

I wouldn't bet the girls on it. But I cannot understand those who refuse to even contemplate it either...

okay, in england in the LEAGUE roy has been mediocre, admittedly he peformanced miracles in europe but our number one priority is the league and that is what I am judging him on. you say has he failed? the criteria of success and failure are different for the clubs roy has managed in the past and the club he is in charge of now.

the reason rafa was sacked was down to more than one bad season? what are you going on about ros? rafa was sacked because we finished outside the CL, simple as that. you mean to tell me if rafa had finished 4th he still would have been released? okay then...

okay, it's more accurate to say I hate the owners I just included the entire board in that. what I will say though is, do you think roy was in employed purely on football reasons? i.e. they (the board) looked at our squad, our resources, the level we need to reach to keep our remaining stars and pay the ever increasing interest (a minimum of 4th), then looked at all the possible managers from all over the world, some of whom would walk over broken glass to join us as we still have a big name and a massive fan base, and the best person to do the job was roy hodgson?

Quite apart from any other point you make, I'm particularly curious about these top managers who would walk over broken glass to manage us... Who are they, exactly?

Right, it's quite simple: if you think Roy Hodgson is a better manager than Rafael Benitez, then you have no business supporting Liverpool, or ever watching a game of football.

That's not hyperbole, there's no fucking joke comuing, if you do *genuinely* think that, you're a retard

I genuinely think that Hodgson will do better in the league this season than Rafa did in his first season, or his last.

roy 'may' do better than rafa's last season i.e. 6th or higher, but better than his 1st, 4th or higher? I doubt it...

What about "Yes, Rafa's got a far, FAR better resume, but his time here was clearly done, and Roy's the better fit for THIS situation at THIS point in time"?
