I went to see 127 Hours last night and it sparked a few thoughts in my head, mainly the idea of travelling alone. Personally, it is something I would hate. However a plethora of people all around the world seem to relish the independence. In the film, the lead character embarks on a weekend trip to the grand canyon, with his headphones as his only companion. Does this interest anyone? Surely experiencing this with others is better than going it alone? People backpack all around the world on their own but that's my idea of hell.
I know a few here enjoy the independence and solitude of it all. Doesn't Farky canoe alone for a weekend at a time? DSE is no stranger to it all either.
