That's my chances of a shag off Richey up in smoke then.

Well, although you are correct I think it was the Bunnyman who doesn't like chubby baldies.

It was difficult to word that correctly and I am not sure that I managed it

trans: Richey likes chubby baldies.

You're in there, Sheik...

That's exactly what I was trying to avoid saying. I have no interest in being intimate with any bald person I'm afraid.

shucks

I think it's a combination of the two - hard stats and observation.

there are two types of player;
a) the player that grab the headlines
these are usually the players that score goals and create goals, a cursory glance at their stats usually makes for very impressive reading.

b) the players that quietly get on with their job
whilst these players may not grab the are very effective at what they do, they usually help the headline makers look better and give the headline makes the platform to do what they do best.
you'll probably look at their stats and think such players would be easily replaced if they moved on.
terrific example claude makelele, quietly got on with his job, terrific stats for assists and goals but gave the likes of zidane a platform to do what he does does best, moved on when he asked for parity with the stars (fuck him we can get someone to do what he does) real then went on a long lean spell.

there is so much that happens when your team has the ball, this is where player (a) comes into effect but there is so much that happens when you team doesn't have the ball, this is where player (b) comes into effect. every team needs a good mixture of (a) and (b) but in the case of (b) stats are next to useless.

Fourth name on the teamsheet now, I'd say.
I thought the right-back position was normally the second on the team-sheet.

There's no one i'd rather have than him right now in world football.

no other fullback you mean?

Do you think he could make double figures in the league?!
I think he will, he plays so far up the opposing sides half he;s bound to score goals. He has power, strength, dribbling and a brilliant right peg,, think he'll get 10 league goals this season.

Ill be very surprised. Dani Alves when he was in running for the best player in the La liga scored 5 goals in a season.

well he has to score 8 more in 34 league games to break record for the first fullback in the league to get into double figures.

I personally wouldn't put it past him. If he and aquallani can add to the goals this season it would make a hugee difference.

johnson has been amazing on the right, once aurelio is fit again we'll have the best fullbacks in the league (yes, I think aurelio is that good).

Aurelio can be that good but it's never going to be consistent.

And even I couldn't have predicted he'd make this level of impact and I've been mentioning him since rumours of Arby being unsettled. Superb footballer and I'm delighted he's ours.

But, and it's a very big but, our defence is a shambles at the minute and he has to become part of the solution. So like I've said before: the real test is yet to come.

aurelio may not have insua's pace or strength but he is a clever player, rarely gives the ball away is a great set peice and corner taker. I can't wait for aurelio to be fit again.
Oh he's better than Insua, I agree fully.
when you look at our form currently I think there are two places the team can improve (with the players at the club) aurelio and agger. two good passers of the ball who are comfortable in possession who are defensive players but give good things going forwards, they will lessen the loss of alonso a good passer, comfortable in possession who was a defensive player who gave good things going forwards.

Glen Johnson has been one of our best performers so far, and he's easily the best right back in the league.
