Koeman loves him ...
Barcelona's player next year?

Hmm, sounds like a distinct possibility. Barca desperately need a player like Gini and Koeman does indeed like him. Can only hope they decide to go for someone younger.

P.S. Is the clause that the next LFC to Barca transfer will incur a 100 gazillion additional fee still active, anyone knows?

I believe the clause was only for a period of two years so would have expired by now.

Yes, I can remember the reports of the expiration. Barca may well be wary of dealing with us now though. We ended up putting them through the mincer with the Coutinho transfer.

Yup was surprised to read that we have already been paid most of the add-ons of the deal and have collected over 140m pounds. Just the final 5m euros left which they are trying to avoid by offloading him. Great negotiation from our side.

Koeman wants Wijnaldum at Barcelona

Posted By Admin On August 20th, 2020 07:51 AM | Dutchmen Abroad, Transfer News

According to Algemeen Dagblad, new Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman wants to sign Georginio Wijnaldum.

Koeman was confirmed as the new Barcelona coach on Wednesday and has the task of overhauling the club’s squad, with little money available.

According to AD, Koeman wants the club to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

The midfielder is seen as a relatively cheap option with Wijnaldum yet to sign a contract extension with Liverpool. It is rumoured that Koeman recently told Wijnaldum not to renew his contract with the Premier League champions.

Wijnaldum was a key player under Koeman with the Dutch national team and the two could be reunited in the Nou Camp. Barcelona would need to sell some players before they can make a move for the 29-year-old.

A relatively cheap option! It's like Barca have never dealt with us or Edwards. Bring it on. £30m please

With Thiago hopefully coming, i think it will be good for Wini, as it will allow him to play a more attacking role which he has always wanted
