Getting to anfield and 1st time in UK..

All,

I'm new here, from far east Singapore and had been reading this forum for awhile now... need some help here as I'm travelling to anfield/UK and reaching Manchester Intl Airport on 14th Oct, LFC vs red scum on 15th Oct and 22nd Oct vs Norwich.

1. What is the fastest & economical way to travel from Manchester Intl Airport to Anfield? I did some research online and is it feasible by taking northern rail via Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool lime street station?

2. Any great place for sight seeing or places that I must visit other than anfield?

3. Which hotel or travel lodge is good near anfield and Liverpool city centre?

4. 18th/19 Oct happen to be champion league group stage and I'm contemplating to fly to Barcelona/Madrid if one of the team is playing home game. I would prefer going to camp nou. How do I get from Liverpool to Barcelona? I can fly from john Lennon to girona airport.. how do I get from girona airport to camp nou?

You can catch a train from the airport direct to LIverpool Lime Street without the need to change. Costs about £13 return I think and takes about 1hr 10mins

Taxi from Barcelona airport to centre of the city costs about €25 from memory

There is a faster one - or at least there used to be - which takes 45mins.

From the station you can get a cab. There are usually loads of fans there, so you can share a cab to offset the cost.

Great but I'm all confused with northern rail, transpennie express, metro rail etc etc... which company of rail do I need to take? Pardon me if I sound stupid....

How many airports Barcelona had? From what I know, there's one international airport and one domestic(girona) which is about 100km from camp nou. €25 is from international or girona? Thanks once again.

Which is the faster options? I am totally confuse with the rail network... sharing cab is a great idea!!!

Being a Liverpool fan since 1984, can't wait for the moment to be in anfield... honeymoon in anfield would be great for Liverpool couples.

Till you met the Malaysians at Bukit jalil stadium when Liverpool turn up in KL.... they are far more crazier over LFC.

Just head to the train station at the airport and look on the departure board or ask customer service for train to Liverpool with no changes. Don't worry about which rail network.
