Look.
Joking and excuse making aside.
Vs Villa away. Torres plays like a twat for 89 minutes and pops up and wins us a huge 3 points when we needed it.

Today he got taken off, and against a Tiring defence we made chances. And the best striker in the world wasn't there to finish them.

Don't dress it up, don't bullshit you don't take off your best player in a must win game. Ever.

Well why is that we created more chances when he came off ? and who was on the end of them N''gog

No chances we're created for Torres. Johnson advanced in the last 15 mins, we attacked more thus creating more chances. However, they fell to N'gog as Torres was withdrawn.

Torres coming off isn't why we made chances. And you know it. If youre just going to blindly ignore the facts there's not much point in me trying to explain it to you.

Torres looked absolutely fucked and was invisible the entire game.
Ngog looked a greater threat when he came on.
Ngog is not a very good player, but if you are subbing Torres that is what we got.
And Torres was done with this game.
I'd have had no problem with him bringing Wash on - but not for our BEST GOALSCORER BY FUCKING MILES. It was a terrible decision, and the only possible justification for it is the Benfica match. Fucked-up priorities by Rafa.

This

Btw Rafa's interview gave the reason for the Torres substitution as exhaustion.

No injury .

I can't believe anyone (although I expect Ryan to) is defending Rafa.

Bumps and bruises, they can be played through Krissr and you'd have to figure from Torres' reaction that he felt that too.

The James Lawton article from about 10 days ago had it spot on Dave:

"However, in large sections of Merseyside there is to be heard not the growling of disbelief but some quasi-religious insistence that faith in Benitez can be withdrawn only at the risk of blasphemy.

This makes Liverpool, which used to pride itself on being the most intelligent football community in all the land, if not the world, either a place of uncommon generosity or mind-blowing naivety. As things stand, it is quite hard to resist the second conclusion."

Would Fergie or Ancelotti have taken off Rooney or Drogba in a similar setting? Would they fuck! You don't sub your best striker in that stage of the game and season.

What he should have done, is sub Kuyt for N'Gog. Then you would have the height and presence of N'Gog, but also your best striker to feed on the chances you create.

Rafa is to stubborn and tactically smart for his own good.
Tactically smart ?

He's a fucking idiot Hansern.
Yep. He wanted air quotes on there to be fair.

Andy mate i agree it was a must win a game, lets just agree to disagree on this, but i am as frustrated as any other fan at the moment with team, manager, owners, but too simply put the blame all on Benitez is simply wrong

He's got some quality players that are just not performing, nothing to do with motivation, i'm talking about things like Gerrard can't even put a few good passes together, players missing easy chances, and players not even be able to cross a ball on someones head, all basic things you would expect

It hurts so much seeing us struggle like this but we are up against teams with better players, better squads, better resources, it's not as simple as saying oh he hasn't won the league sack him

a new manager isn't going to make Lucas the new Gerrard, Insua into a top quality left back or Babel into the new Henry, we need better players which am sure we all agree on, but to do that, we need the resources to go and buy a player that is top quality

he has to use the likes of N'gog, Babel, Lucas, Insua as thats all we can afford, do you really think that he really wanted to sign them players or was they all he could afford ?
because i think it's certain if he could afford them we would be seeing, the likes of Tevez, Sylva, Villa, Aguero etc in the team, but as we can't we have to put up with Lucas, Babel, Insua, N'gog etc

Haha, RCDNW over there.

Eggnog is a lumbering, dithering, clumsy fucking *cabbage*

As a player he reminds me of that Jason Lee cunt of 'the pineapple on his head' fame

Thanks for not qualifying for the CL, now FUCK OFF and you can take cunts like Eggnog, Lucarse and Insewer with you

And being honest, I think we need to bin off Casper the invisible twat, Maxi, The Purple Shithouse and even Kuyt too.

We need change, we need better, and we deserve better too

I predicted before the Spurs game that we wouldn't win the league, but this has been an embarrassing disaster and Benitez HAS to go

Tragically, it's more likely that Torres and Gerrard will leave, than any of the above

Anywere on the knee that might be sore, is a risk to carry on playing with it, imagine he would of carried on and got injured and out for the season, would people of been happy then, knowing he carried on playing him when he knew it could of put him out for the season ?

Rooney didn't play last week because he was a slight risk of further injury although Feguson said he could of physically played him, just that he didn't want to risk him

Wash and Insua were cheap gambles, but Babel cost £11m (more than the original Henry) and Lucas £6m (more than lots of perfectly good CMs). And that's without even mentioning the 'resources' wasted in recent seasons on Dossena, Keane, Riera, Aquilani etc.

Ok Krissr Benitez got it spot on. It's not like we have the resources to compete with a club like Birmingham anyway.

We should be over the moon with the draw.

Have you ever played football kriss? Players put ice on swellings, bruises etc after a game ALL THE FUCKING TIME. It's precautionary; it doesn't mean you're at risk of getting a major injury if you play another 30 mins. Torres was tired - I accept that - but this was a huge game and he didn't exactly look relieved to be taken off, did he?
