Gerrard has pulled out of the England game with a groin injury. Hope this doesn't keep him out too long.
 
Sounds like good news to me. I'm pretty sure the 'groin injury' is notional, and that this is just to keep him fresh for the Spurs game.
 
Hopefully it's just a precaution

Shame though, he could've done with the match time.

He was training with the England time at the time wasn't he ? Although maybe the Doc still want's to examine his balls - isn't you perchance is it ?
 
Felt it tighten during a training with England, didnt travel as a precaution because of sundays game. He's already back at Melwood according to Liverpool.no

According to Rafa, Gerrard is a highely doubtfull for the match on sunday. Had the game been played on saturday, he wouldn't have been fit in time.

Looks like he'll miss the game then..

He didn't quite say that, he said if the match was on Saturday he would have been highly unlikely, seems as it's on Sunday he may have a chance. bascially I reckon he'll be on the bench.

I guess it's up to translation, but thats how I read it anyway

Benitez added: "I am really pleased because Mr Capello wanted to protect players. Because Gerrard had a problem they did a scan and pulled him out of the squad. We don't know if he'll be fit. He was working with the physios yesterday and today.

"If the game would have been on Saturday it would be difficult but because it's on Sunday he could have a chance."
