i'm really worried about our lack of tempo. insua has looked poor, zorba slow, degan has attacked well, carra is resorting too much to bypassing lucas and masch and hoofing it.
voronin has been pretty useless and the midfield partnership of masch and lucas is back to its usual self. dirk's bben average at best
if we're gonna win this the magic will come from torres or yossi.

Reina - 6 - done nothing wrong
Degen 6.5 - good outlet but crossing should be better
Carra - 6.5 - solid
Kyrgiakos - 6.5 - don't think the goal was his mistake otherwise solid
Insua - 6 (would have been 7 but for ....) his major error in not covering Zamora or stepping up
Masher - 6.5 - solid and has been getting forward on occasions
Lucas - 5.5 - drifting in and out of the game. Need more.
Benny - 7.5 - easily our best player so far. Virtually all creative effort is coming from him.
Voronin - 5 - a nice touch here, a nice touch there, then nothing.
Kuyt - 6.5 - all action but lacking creativity.
Torres - 9 - one chance one goal. A God in human form.

Lucas has been miles better than Insua. You've got him down as one of the worst players in a red shirt, which is just bollocks.

It's games like this I wish we had Crouch back (in lieu of a central midfield and being able to pass the ball).
If Torres has been brought off to keep him fresh for Europe and we don't go on to win this match then Benitez can go fuck himself.
