The funny thing about sky condemning it is that after the game I had a look on redcafe and all those c*nts were on about how the media and sky especially wouldn't even mention it because it was Carragher , when cleary wilkins and Souness had both called it a disgrace!
Its the fact that they so blatantly ignored the facts while wearing their massive scum coloured goggles that im delighted that Carragher got away with it and couldnt give a fuck if nanis out for the rest of the year!
Heh. They get away with murder season after season, Rooney swearing at officials, Fergie saying what the fuck he likes, Refs getting effectively intimidated at OT. They're a law unto themselves.

I couldn't give a flying fuck what happens to them, I hate seeing players get injured, but I've got no sentiment when it comes to United over anything, because they're so fucking sore, biased and corrupt. They are the epitome of everything that's wrong with the football governing body in this country, because they're protected by it and use it to their full advantage every season.

Fuck them.

And so say all of us!!

Lets face it... Carras was a Red... we got a lucky one there... The ref should have called half time there and then, because he was in danger of losing the game.

If Carra walked, there is no way Rafael would have made that lunge, but hindsight is a wonderful thing... We got a lucky one, got the three points.

Happy days.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm not convinced by the maxi incident. A yellow i can understand, but he was pulling out all the time. as for it not being a red for Raphael... come on pat
His legs were low pointing down and in little danger of causing harm.

As for Maxi he caught him above the ankle with the ball no where in sight.

It's two feet off the ground Pat, how much danger and where his legs were pointing are irrelevant.

It's a red card. Rightly or wrongly.

pat, one of Raphaels legs was knee height, thankfully he missed. maxi caught on the higher end of the thigh, so he's not going to break the most difficult bone to break in the body

I reckon Carra was trying to wipe him out, not that he'd ever admit it.

Deffo.

Has it been a different player, he would've stayed on his feet.

i loved the fact it was nani. lads a grade a cunt and is well on his way to being my most hated player

It was great to see our lads with a little a bit of fire in their bellies when those 2 incidents kicked off.

i love the fact lucas always seems to get involved

he's becoming my fave player. i initially defended him, then got fed up with his performances, now i love him again

I am soooo fucking made up with our team today I could shit and fall back in it.

Utter.UTTER.Bossness. !

Carra made a decision.
When Aurellio went off Nani switched to the left to have a go at Carra, Carra did not want Nani taking the piss for the rest of the afternoon so he took the chance on getting sent off and took him out , it wasn't stupid, it was a calculated gamble.
It paid off.

To surmise:

- Carra's tackle deserved a red. Very poor unnecessary tackle that could have gifted United a way back into the game.

- Hard to have any sympathy for Nani. It's a case of the boy who cried wolf. Literally he was crying today. He's feigned injury enough times to get opponents sent off or cautioned.

- Maxi challenge looked a reckless one, but one that he pulled out at the last second. His foot was still high though so it was deserving of a yellow card.

- Rafael challenge was one with bad intent. Two footed. Off the ground. Red card. Was lucky to escape it. Ref probably was lenient because of the Carragher incident.

- Oh and for those who say "well Rafael wouldn't have jumped in had Maxi and Carra got sent off for their challenges". That's revisionism. The incidents can not be linked like that. They're independent and one doesn't excuse another. If we were to use that logic, we can make an argument about how Carra wouldn't have dived into the challenge on Nani had the ref given Luis Suarez a freekick 10 minutes earlier when Evra bundled him off the ball unceremoniously.

I wish people would stop calling this unnecessary, had he not taken Nani out of the game and got sent off it could have been called unnecessary, however he did and he didn't so, it was vindicated on two levels.

i understand why carra would do the tackle vlad, to stamp his authority on nani. problem being it was a high risk. at that point the game wasn't in risk of bubbling over so he timed it perfectly to get away with it. still risky though

It was unnecessary, it was a minute before the end of the first half near the half way line with Nani going no where.

If like you say it was a calculated gamble it really was a silly time to do it, maybe at the beginning of the second half to give him a thump, go through hard and hit him not go in studs showing knee height when we are two nil up

You kids aren't used to this are you?

It was part and parcel of the game, a few decades ago. Carra was not prepared to stand there all afternoon and have a cunt like nani rip him a new arse-hole , so he sorted it himself, he got away with it and took Uniteds only threat out of the game, get over it

Ha, as you say, it worked. Job done.

Vlad I get what you are saying but I disagre if like you say it was at a stupid time of the game to try something like that. Like I said before happily hit him hard, give him a thump Cara can do that but lunging in with his foot knee height studs showing is a bit much.

And there we have it.

I couldn't give a smelly shag about Punani.

We got away with it.

End of.

Kenny Dalglish refused to condemn Jamie Carragher for his horror challenge on Nani during Liverpool's 3-1 victory over Manchester United at Anfield.

The former England centre-back was shown a yellow card by referee Phil Dowd for his high tackle just below the knee which resulted in the Portugal international departing the pitch on a stretcher and in tears shortly before the interval.

Carragher's moment of madness marked the start of a tense few minutes in the enthralling clash prior to half-time, with Maxi Rodriguez escaping punishment for lunging at Rafael, and the young United defender also fortunate to only see yellow after a two-footed tackle on Lucas.
The biggest shock in that is that Maxi Rodriguez did something in 90 minutes worth commenting on.

I was delighted he walloped the cunt.

Nani has a statue of himself in his hall. He should be kicked by random strangers, nevermind the opposition.

Making babies like him hate playing against us is a good idea. He should expect a thorough kicking everytime he gets a run out at Anfield or anywhere else. That's when cunts like him start to develop a stomach bug or an injury in the warm up.

Like it was the time of the game when Carra had been just put to right back and Gin Soak switched Nani that side to open things up.
It was exactly the right time.
