SigggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggnOnly 17mil in Jan I hear.
I heard about this kid, 18 years old, super talented apparently and can play as a DM or a CM. Here's the kicker, he's actually free...crazy right?
Check him out:
As if...£100m sale next summer to Barca

I really like this kid. He's currently being mentored by Thiago, which is fantastic. I mean, can you ask for a better teacher? He was our best player in a tranche of games last season and appeared to be the only thing holding our midfield together at times. Which is just ridiculous at his age. It will be great to have him back fighting for his place.
I was being semi-sarcastic. Barca cannot afford £100m.As if...
I don't see why Klopp would want to hinder his development by getting another midfielder after already signing Berchie.
Squad depth in midfield right now is pretty good. I would have loved us to sign a "super" DM over Endo but it is what it is.
DM: Endo, Bajcetic
CM: Macca, Szobo, Thiago, Berchie, Jones, Elliott ( have a feeling he'll be covering for Salah)
Thiago will leave next summer and we already have cover for him. I suspect that Endo might be a temp solution too. In that case we might buy a DM next summer.
So it would be insane to sign another midfielder in January.

Thiago has taught him how to spend a load of months in the treatment room already!I really like this kid. He's currently being mentored by Thiago, which is fantastic. I mean, can you ask for a better teacher?
Bajcetic has everything in his locker except experience.
How is that going to work considering we had to drop Adrian from the Europa League squad?Yeah - but Jones & Badger are forever injured and I’m expecting Endo to be only slightly more useful than Melo.
I like the idea of bringing this lad in and giving him time to bed in and then, when Thiago fucks off in the summer, we don’t need a midfielder.
That means all resources can be directed towards the defence next summer.
Growing pains, he'll be back soon.Thiago has taught him how to spend a load of months in the treatment room already!

I thought Gravenberch was replacing ThiagoAndre would replace Thiago, not Badger…
Not official yet.He can play in the league.
Haven’t seen the European squad - has it been announced yet?
Nah, he’s the very belated Gini replacement innit…I thought Gravenberch was replacing Thiago

RIP poor BenThe Doak problem ceases to exist next season.
What about Adrian, who is absolutely next to useless?Right - so this is UEFA’s slightly different rules on HG players, which means Doak & Gravenberch can’t be registered as an U21 player because they haven’t been at the club or any other English club for 2 years.
UEFA also differentiates between Club Trained & Association trained - though I think we’re good on club trained, with Kelleher, Gomez, Trent & Jones - I think we’re light on Association Trained (although we can have more club Trained).
We had a similar issue with Gordon the season before last - where we could play him in domestic games, but he wasn’t added to the European squad.
The solution in January would be to additionally de-register whatever senior player has a long term injury or is being sold/leaving at the end of the season - Thiago would likely be the one that fulfills that. Or Matip.
What about Adrian, who is absolutely next to useless?
You're right! Klopp stopped being Beta and dropped him. That’s the point of the original article - Adrian isn’t going to be registered fir Europe so that Doak likely can.
I’d say, it’s more than likely that Adrian leaves at the end of the season when Pitaluga needs to be registering.

Adrian cut from Liverpool squad for Europa League – but could still play
Liverpool have omitted Adrian San Miguel from their squad for the Europa League group stages.

This Is Anfield understands that the Spaniard has not been included in the Reds’ selection for the first part of the competition.
Differences between UEFA and Premier League rules meant Jurgen Klopp was forced into a difficult decision over the composition of his squad for Europe this season.
Despite neither possessing homegrown status, Ryan Gravenberch and Ben Doak‘s ages mean they are both able to be registered as U21 players when it comes to the league this term.
But that is not the case in Europe, where both are only eligible to feature alongside other foreign stars on ‘List A’.
That left Klopp with 18 players and only 17 spots in which to register them, and it is Adrian who has been forced to miss out as a result.
As third-choice goalkeeper behind Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher, the 36-year-old’s chances of featuring in the Europa League this season appeared slim.
However, his omission is also understood to be down to the presence of a UEFA loophole that could still see him feature in some capacity.
The rules state that, in the case of any named goalkeepers being struck down by long-term injury or illness, a replacement can be called upon.
Therefore, if the Reds’ options between the sticks were thinned by the loss of either Alisson or Kelleher, they would be able to utilise Adrian in Europe.

Yeah, it’s the Pitaluga one I’m not 100% on.
I think, because he was sign in October (I think) he just falls short of making the cut off point to be registered as a youth.
If that’s the case - it’s that loan to Macclesfield that’s caused the issue (like Doak it’s not an issue after this season.
Again, that “might” explain part of the thought process behind retaining Adrian - in case Kelleher moved on.
Seems like no-one came in for Kelleher this summer - which raises another interesting question - do we give Kelleher game time or do we give Pitaluga a crack at the league cup?
