As all the proceeds go to HJC I'm not averse to the idea TBH.

It also allows fans to show their support to the team whilst showing their displeasure to the owners publically.

It's one of the things SoS have done that doesn't bother me. I worry the sponsors logo being bastardised may drop them in shit, but I imagine that's the point.

I also disagree about supporting the team, you're supporting the owners going, not the players

I assume they think more than it actually will, however if it kick starts fans wearing dark grey/black scarves to the game it may paint a public picture that has some effect.

It probably won't be noticeably different. Similarly last season while watching United's protest I couldn't help but think it would be clever if the club brought back the yellow and green away jersey.
