Sunderland got beat by fucking Burnley last week.
good job our friendlies have been against top sides..............oh..............

Well I'm still looking forward to the season.

We might be alright by the time the FA Cup gets going.

i'm hella looking forward to the season but i reckon it's gonna be a damp squid. (b)
yep, and they're a diamond dozen these days
Nine.
KHL, even though I find your tedious and illogical love of all things Danish to be the Internet equivalent of mogadon, I fecking LOVE your attitude.
9 points ftw.

Too many pre-madonnas, they're the bastards that has us on tenderhooks. Diamond dozen pre-madonnas.

3 minimum, 7 maximum.

Probably 6 with a defeat against Arsenal away hardly a poor start.
Soooooooo what is it then Dreamy?

Assuming we play Team Carroll (*hoof hoof*), then:
4 from our first 3 games (draw Sunderland, lose Arsenal, beat Bolton)
9 from our first 6 games (draw Stoke, draw Spurs, beat Wolves)

If we go straight with Team Suarez (*tippy tap tipity tap*), then:
6 from our first 3 games (beat Sunderland, lose Arsenal, beat Bolton)
13 from our first 6 games (beat Stoke, draw Spurs, beat Wolves)

We almost always play better against the Arsenals and Spurs and struggle against the the Wolves, Stokes and Sunderlands.

With Suarez and keeping the ball on the floor, we'll beat them this time.
With Carroll and trying to swing in ball after ball, we'll get 3 points. These teams are built to hold their own against these sorts of tactics.

6 as a minimum. Anything else, a bonus. Anything less, disappointing.

I actually think our fixture list offers us the opportunity for a decent start. If we take it, who knows. If we're off the pace early, buckle up for a long season. Again.

When you read through the full set of fixtures, there are an awful lot of shit sides in the Prem next season. Unfortunately, this is where we've struggled in the past.

too many ifs and buts to really make a prediction.
If there were no iffs & buts and everything was all certain.... There wouldn't be much point making fucking predictions then... 😉

The match on Saturday will tell us a thing or two.

Remember last year when we got dicked by Atleti? I remember thinking... that actually is the best team. That's what's going to start against Arsenal... Oh noes.

I hope it ain't like that.

I consider myself somewhat of a gambler but there are still things I need to know before I make a bet. One is what squad we'll have
It probs will be.
Lucas and Suarez wont play
Gerrard and Meireles and Skrtel are injured.

Reina
Kelly
Agger
Carragher
Johnson
Adam
Henderson
Spearing
Downing
Kuyt
Carroll

Is probably our starting line up for Sunderland.

Luckily this season its Sunderland and not Arsenal or Chelsea so if we can muck through this game and get Raul and Suarez in for the Arsenal game we might be ok.

Last season
Sunderland H 1-1
Arsenal A 1-1
Bolton H 2-1
So we didnt lose any of them and got 5 points. Id hope for 6 minimum this time.

We've not looked great, but then again we've looked like we're trying things that aren't coming off. it wouldn't surprise me if we maintainted possession a lot better once the season starts as then it actually means something
We fucking better had.
Im genuinely thinking that we need Lucas back in urgently, He is our best shield and this pre season has showed that we friggin need one bad.

I agree mein herr. Spearing is shite and only good when next to someone who does the sit back and defend part of being a DM. Lucas is good at taking opposition momentum out of a game with clever marking

9.

Pre season. Flip Flop season. Big diffo in peoples arsedness when points an a table are involved instead of playing against disney land fc at the north pole stadium cos the boss says so.

Sunderland - Fat headed cunt. Shit. They're fucking shit. We'll twat them.

Arse - Their two top players wanna fuck off. We'll twat them as well.

Bolton - Fuck off. Bolton can fuck off cos they're Bolton. We'll badly twat them. Bolton.

If we only get 8...points or less. I'll fuck my dog, Princes, again.
