Firmino

I remember reports saying that United agreed a deal for Frimino at one stage. We signed him soon after this. Was there any truth in that or just paper talk?

Actually most do - season starts - they expect to win the league. However, I have realized that there is a lot of doubt and non-expectation that is now public among many of the people on this site. I am too tired tonight but I think someone on here should start a thread:-

'When did you stop believing... - we could challenge for the title ?'

Oncey - please start it when you are off the drink a little and/or not measuring the size of your cock.

Cheers,
MORON
Isnt there a thread on "Turning doubters into believers" ? I personally don't want to fall into the belief/trap we could win. It often ends in an anticlimax where we just wilter under the pressure towards the end of the season. Take each game as they come and watch the spectacle on show. We are dubbed the most exciting team inthe UK which to me in it self is an important accolade when you consider what we were dubbed under Rafa and GH

European Champions, UEFA Cup winners, FA cup winners and League Cup winners.

I know what I prefer, and it isn't the utterly fucking useless "accolade" of being exciting to watch. Who gives a fuck?

Its great when you win things but pretty horrible when you loose

I don't understand? What's great when you win things?

Winning things is all that matters. If you lose, who cares how you played? You still lost.
Defeat feels less devastating, as hope of destroying a side in the next game remains.
Losing with not much on offer from the attacking side inspires some to create a 'thanks for the champions league, now fuck off' thread in a CL winning manager's second season.

I think we ALL want to win stuff, and realistically we could win in any of the three domestic competitions. Keep saying it but there is very little between the teams in this league and it comes down to how much the players want it. The current playing style makes it bearable to lose a final or a game somewhat and the actual chances of winning appear to be higher. Under both Rafa, and GH it was just pure tension all through the 90+ minutes in most games because it was always about defending. No problems with defending - all title winning sides must have a good defense but Man U, or even Chelsea, or Arsenal did not win the titles in our empty years by having teams that were completely defensively minded - they employed high speed wingers with strong midfielders and good strikers.

Klopp's system is completely diametrically the opposite of what we experienced under Rafa/GH; its about attacking to win, and attacking to defend. It ain't about sitting back and waiting for that moment of transition - it is about forcing the transition to take place - and I fucking love it.
