Oooh, that's a toughie. I think Firmino has potential to be a great player for us but Sterling also has the potential to be a terrific player. Firmino hasn't done enough to warrant choosing him, but I really hope he makes my choice (of Sterling) look stupid in the coming seasons.
I wouldn't swap .....especially if it means swapping the money involved in the respective transfers as well.

I think my bias for pace would make me choose Sterling right now, as we badly need more of it. Firmino has had a patchy first season so far, but he's been improved since Klopp arrived and had a great six weeks around December/ January.
Sterling is just so fast and strong that he is an obvious asset and outlet for any team, but of Firmino keeps improving and maintains his consistency, then the decision may be harder next season
Ideally I'd have Suarez as well.
I'm thrilled that Firmino is having good enough performances to even warrant this discussion. Means we did some good business and got a real player (baller?) this time.
Firmino also contributes more to the team as a whole, he's rarely on the periphery. And he's had Benteke ahead him for most of the season. Watch him go now Studge is back. Quality performance again today - superb passing to spread the play, and creativity, time and again, Clyne's goal the perfect example.
Hmmm it's a tough call. It's tough to be objective with Raheem. He's a terrific young talent - but you can tell he's stalling at City. 6 goals? with 3 against Bournmouth? He's been playing almost every week, with great talent around him and it's just not clicking. I guess we'll see next year what kind of player he really can be as I think Guardiola's system will suit him if - and he's smart & motivated enough to take advantage of it.
Firmino is coming along nicely ... Tough start, but his overall play makes him better. At times, too lackadaisical on the ball, but his work rate, movement, etc is top notch and he's not contributing a goal or an assist every week. I think we have a really good player here. His most vital role though? I think his presence in the front 3 will be as critical to Studge as Suarez's was ...

To be fair Firmino has scored most of them goals as a striker, a luxury Sterling hasn't been afforded (I think)
If I had to choose between them for a team to play a game tomorrow to save my life, I'd pick Sterling. Otherwise I'd stick with Firmino because, as others have said, it's far from clear that Sterling's career will be long-lasting.
Frim was atrocious for the first 4 months but has come to life.
I'd still take Sterling currently.
Hard to compare a striker with a winger though no?
Goals shouldn't be the main discussion point that's for sure as Frim has been played as a striker in virtually every game.
