Didn't have any connection issues - as always found a link via Total Sportek.

I thought he was worse in the second half. I've still got high hopes for him and just assume this was a fitness issue.

Well in that case, glad in a way I missed it because I couldn’t see how 🙂
Yes hope fitness because a lot of the misplaced passes seemed unchallenged.

But he was highly rated wasn't he? At least that's what was said on here. I suppose we shoulda guessed when they were being all super friendly about giving us him for next to nothing

I dunno, was he? I'd never heard of him before we played them and I play loads of footy manager so I'm practically a superstar scout/tactician.

I've given up on Origi.
Minamino isn't getting the ball because he's running around on the pitch like a headless chicken.
Jota messed up too many chances with bad passing.

Origi hasn't looked right since the CL win, he's pretty much dined out on that and the Barca game since. Last season and this season he just looks totally lacking motivation and he just clearly doesn't suit our approach in any way. It's a little bit like how Sturridge just didn't have the work ethic to ever stay in this side, except that Sturridge had a shed load more natural talent.

He'll be gone next Summer, but in hindsight he should have gone this Summer. At this rate Minamino will go on loan and become another Markovic.

I still swear he was brought in to be an understudy to Firmino, but Bobby has quicker awareness and better upper body strength. He's the perfect centre forward in that respect, despite his goalscoring inconsistency. He has all the hallmarks of a top centre forward coupled with the cute awareness and technique of a creative link player. Minamino brings none of that. Maybe Klopp sees him adapting to a different role over a lengthy period, as Bobby and Gini sort of have, I just don't see him having the natural physical attributes for it to succeed. Something just isn't right, even during the league celebrations he looked marginalised and like a loner.

No, no, Mark. It's because the players aren't passing to him. They're big, mean bullies, they are!

I’ve written off his title celebration weirdness as a combination of newness, shyness and a bit of embarrassment at not really having earned the right to be there.

i don’t get what he’s trying to do on the pitch though, it feels like someone has told him he needs to be more physical but it just looks silly with his bird skeleton bouncing off every opponent.

See, no. You're confused. He's not incredibly feeble and weak. It's because his teammates won't pass to him. He's too good, that's the problem, and his teammates are worried he'll upstage them. Or something

He was far too deep last night , he hasn't got any of the attributes required of someone playing in the middle of the park , he's not particularly quick and he's not got strength on or particularly good passing range

He just seems like a downgrade on Lallana in just about every way, I can't see how he gets near the starting eleven for a match of any importance, barring injuries

And Klopp has a thing for Lallanas...

“Downgrade on Lallana in every way” - that sounds harsh, but... it’s hard to find evidence to the contrary. Klopp praised his performance in the deeper role last night, but it’s hard to imagine him breaking through as a CM.

Are you then saying that our scout did not do thier jobs by not scouting him porpely..?

Or that Klopp has been wrong in seeing something in him with the praise he heaps on him...?

Now on less you are like me and I know that Klopp is only human and does make mistakes, and you are one of those who believe that Klopp is fualtless in everything he does as a manager, then there must be something else going on here...

In the match, about half way into the second half one of our player picked the ball up in midfield and started moving it out to the right. Minamino was out on that wing and instead of moving the ball out to him where he had one defender to cope with, he chose instead to do a 180 degree turn and play the ball back into a crowded midfield...

Also the disallowed goal, he was good enough to get into an area and get on that ball
