Fantastic advert for the game

Said it before, don't knight a fucking currently serving manager.

The cunt's been told to sort it out with the BBC and has he ?

Like fuck, he has.

And, they continue to suck his bum hole.

Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrghhhh !!!!

I know Derby games are high on intensity and low on quality but that took the piss. I agree with the original poster that it was entertaining fare, but the skill-level was diabolical.

Two brutally average teams incapable of keeping the ball for loner than 10 seconds each butchering, chomping, and hacking away at the ball and each other.

Outside of Arteta, Fellaini, Baines, Torres, and one or two others it was eye-bleeding stuff.

I disagree with some of that. Especially in the first half we managed to move the team as a unit upward the field by keeping the first pass short from the defender to a midfielder. He kept possesion by distributing it to a full back on the move. At the same time the other midfielders moved upward creating plenty opportunities around their box. So the passing was improved ten times from Blackpool game. And the movement as well.

Second half we struggled with the tempo, but credit to everton who came out to fight.

What did you expect from a derby match Ryan? As long as I can remember thats what you get when Liverpool and Everton meet. Honest endeavour and probably a fair result. Doesnt matter if it were 1981 or 2011 the quality would be the same.

Ryan probably expected exactly what he got, what we all got.
The thread title is probably what he is taking exception to.

Some of the football played was excellent, as was some of our couterattacking. Ok, so neither of us are Real Madrid but it wasn't like watching Bolton vs Stoke.

I don't see how that wasn't an ace advert for the beautiful game.

Some fantastic football played at times, dire at others.

Sometimes I wonder if we're all watching the same match really.

The football on display was atrocious at times and frustratingly boring most times.

1st half, we were slightly the better side but only by a few shades. It was like seeing an old BMW starting and revving its rusty engine after a few years of inactivity.

We were starting to remember how to play football until our flow was interrupted by the half-time whistle. You'd think that we'll continue where we left off after the redress but our mettle was tested when they equalized and we looked brittle as glass afterward.

The ref and linesmen were biased as every decision went against our way. And if there's such a world like Tron, I'd love to jump into my tele, wrestle Fellaini onto the ground and proceed to punch his face into smithereens. He made us look like a bunch of amateurs, brushing us off the ball with ease. Nobody bothered to hack him down. I know I would.

An observation I made was the general inconsistency of the referee throughout. He let some very full blooded tackles from both sides go, but then seemed intent on whistling for stuff that frankly was nowhere near a foul. Lucas got called for a couple of fouls when he was allegedly outmuscling the Everton players - now we know that can't be remotely true.

The other thing I noticed is the fact that Reina is giving the ball to the CB's a lot more. Not bad if its Dan Agger who is more assured on the ball but yesterday, Skrtel and the Greek were both made to look very uncomfortable. Also when we're looking for a win and there's little time on the clock, its probably better to shove the Greek up and knock it long rather than have looking to receive it short from the goalie from a goal kick or free kick in our half.

It wasn't a fantastic advert for the game, nor was it a fantastic derby.

The football was pretty scrappy a lot of the time and once again fucking shit defending cost us the full three points.

It was frustrating and disappointing.

Yeah, agreed. The first 45 minutes was encouraging especially in terms of Ming's performance and our incrteased passion and drive, and we were well on top, but there was a distinct lack of quality, and the first 20 minutes of the second half was shambolic.

What was the final 15 mins all about? It was like no one wanted to win the game. We didn't make a positive change and Everton were just making like for like subs to kill time. Yawn.

TBF though, Rio physically pulled up Rafael & bollocked him for brandishing an invisible card to the ref. That was good to see. Wish he'd do similar to Rooney when he swears at the ref though.

He probably done that cos he was worried Rafael might get booked, rather than cos he's a man of such integrity.
