A little survey just for my information – curious how many people here watch LFC in person regularly.

Am/ was is a bit of a wide spectrum.

I was for a few years, but haven't had a season ticket since about 1993.

I still get to attend a handful of games in person, but it's pretty random. Last game I saw live was the League Cup final against City, and the first this season will be Stoke at Anfield just after Xmas.

V. POOR.

Not regularly. I've tried for every home game this season through the local members sale but failed to get one each time.

I can't justify £50 a game unfortunately. It's a lot of cash. I'll be honest, if I could somehow go with my mates & sit with them I'd pay full price for tickets at least once or twice a month gladly, but it's almost an antisocial experience when you're sitting on your own, which I'd pay for, but not £50 plus cash for drinks before & after, taxi home etc.

Most of my mates feel the same, at least we can watch the game together with a drink as well as saving some cash when we watch on TV.

Sad but true.

We all went to almost every home game for eight years together plus until prices & ticket availability pushed us out, but being unable to sit together having stood together on the Kop for so many years was a big factor too.

I've been to a game here or there over the season but nothing regular.

I'm a proper armchair fan.

I think most here just have other priorities, be it work or family or whatever.

If I lived in Liverpool I don't think I'd be a regular Anfield visitor either. I don't even bother watching some of our games on the telly nowadays.
A few years ago I would have left my own wedding to watch a game.

ST (Kop & then Kemlyn) from mid 80s until 1998, when I moved to Ireland. Never went to a match for about 8 years, then started taking my son 1-2 times per season.

PS - Need 3 tickets for last home game of season, if anyone can help out 🙂

They were the first to sell out in yesterdays sale.
People are anticipating that there could be something big on the line still by then.
Depending on how right they are will dictate how easy/difficult it is to get tickets for the game

Slightly off/on topic, but my mate is a spurs season ticket holder (doesn't live down there), him and his brother buy a season ticket every year, then sell 75% of the games back to the club at pretty much face value!! So they've sorta got reserved seating for any of the big games the jammy bastards. I think they go to about 5-10 games a year. I'd fucking love that if we could do it. He says they home sort of official thing where they sell on the season tickets for individual games, not sure how it works.

It's just not been the same since Aquilani left!

Aww, you'll be 2 weeks too late for the parade and party. There should still be a good buzz about though.

I have watched two overseas games when LFC visited US. If I was living in Liverpool, I am not sure if I would bother to watch regularly. Watching a game seems way too pricey.

I found when I was in the US that Basketball and Baseball were both more expensive than football tickets over here. But i watched in big cities that milk cash off tourists and don't have groups of die hard fans who expect the clubs to keep costs down.

I have 3 season tickets on the Kop, must be over 10 years now and go with my lads or sometimes the mrs or a mate.

Would love to see more away games but it's a closed shop and so I only manage a few each year in the league but qualify for most of the League Cup aways. I have business on the South Coast so I've arranged to go on Friday, stopping over and going to the game in Southampton on spec in the hope of blagging a ticket outside the away end.

I must be a bit fucking mental

For regular season games in the US, you can always find cheap tickets for baseball and basketball. The playoffs and the important rivalry games are a different issue altogether. In general, I have found watching games live in stadiums to be expensive and not worth the hassle.

I watched the Club World Championship game (which we lost to Sao Paolo) in Japan 10 years ago... That's the only game I've seen live.

I've been to two matches in Liverpool, which is the same as the number of NHL games I've been to in my home city in the past 5 years. Tickets here are too expensive - far cheaper to see Liverpool games on holiday (minus the holiday costs of course).

I often attend sporting events on holidays - MLS, MLB, NFL , NHL etc. but don't go as much at home.
