I don't think that's necessarily true (based on what I've seen).
The number of times Fabregas has found Adebayor with fantastic through / over the top balls can't be counted, but too often Adebayor has been isolated and by the time he has support, the opportunity is lost.
It shouldn't really be Fabregas' role to support the attack and he doesn't have the pace, dynamism or consistent goal threat to play further up the field as Gerrard does.
