Every time I see that De Ligt he makes a fucking howler. Absolute bluffer him.

Malen isn't the answer, either.

Very nice goal. Wouldn't mind this going to extra time and penalties...

I really dislike Lukaku. So many moments of demanding passes and moaning at teammates. Coupled with stacks of terrible touches and gifting the ball to Portugal.

Ballbag.
I was thinking the same thing.
During his time at Man U when he struggled somewhat, he was still good at holding up the ball and bringing teammates into play.
Tonight he just seemed to want to get the ball and bulldoze his way past opposing players. On the few occasions he did lay off the ball the pass was usually poor at best and to an opponent at worst.
Has be just become a flat track bully in Italy?

I can't believe they let him take the free kick.. just blasted it.
He didn't manage a decent 4yard pass on the game not sure how he was gonna get the ball top corner from there.

On the subject of *deep breath* free kicks I'm just not *deep breath* sure Ronaldo *steadies himself* takes soo many *deep breath* of them. *Looks at goal.. and other deep breath*
Cos he's missed bloody loads

*Looks to the sky*

I think he's always been a flat track bully. At United he was asked to lead the line like a proper #9 and he gradually lost confidence because his touch wasn't good enough. In Italy Conte pretty much absolved him of this responsibility; he's just running into channels and waiting for thorough balls. He's a handful to defend for sure, but he's not a complete striker.

Didn't see either game, but for those who watched Holland, would it be fair to say that they their lack of athleticism, particularly in midfield, cost them? And I'm glad Belgium went through because I think this will make for a more watchable game vs Italy.

Cheers for that.
I don't follow Italian football but because he seemed to be getting rave reviews and with him being liked to Bayern recently, I though he may have changed and improved.
I always though there was a player in there somewhere but his time at Man U ruined him.

Daley Blind just isn't good enough. A lot of attacks came through him. Van Aanholt is also not up to this level.

TBF Ronaldo is 1 goal off setting records in euro/world cups. I don't blame him for being fuming

Can I just say that after having watched loads of Inter and Lukaku this season I consider him to be the best striker in the world right now. With a margin.

He is an absolute physical phenomenon with great technique and flair. A machine. Litterally unstoppable on his best days - which are aplenty. Really baffled by some of your comments. That’s all.

I think he's fucking great. He's probably been the most complete striker in the world for a few years. Problem is, he's not a player who fits in to any system.
