Are you already afraid of Germany? Because you should be!
Super Jogi and his magnificent tactical skills (not even mentioning what Gosens, Sane und Gündogan have conjured on the field) gave me goosebumps.

Maybe. I do not know how satisfied you are with Southgate but some people still would argue that he is worser than Löw (I for myself are still unsure if that is even possible even after I watched the England games).

Well Southgate’s in game management is still to be prooven despite being over 4yrs in job and his unwillingness to integrate some of the standout talents in the squad such as Trent abd Sancho are his biggest issues.
But to win a tournament, you have to be pragmatic in some ways and the way he has backed his players over knee is rather impressive even if not always backed totally by pubic opinion. His letter to the public on the matter was better than anything our government can put together on any subject ever. That maybe create some sort inner mentality within the squad required to progress in the tournament.
Plus there aren’t many great standout candidates for his role at the moment.

Some of Southgate's decisions have baffled me. I mean, I didn't dislike him from the start. I actually thought the FA were thinking outside the box when they hired him.
They did what Sweden usually does and promoted the U21 boss to the senior team.
Despite all of Löw's recent failings, he's still a world cup winner.
He's also had to oversee the transition from that team to the current team and that's not an easy thing to do.

Respectful, yes. Afraid, no. If you guys go on the pitch with that kind of attitude we'll beat you.

I absolutely agree. Even if he did some strange decisions I also think that he is a good coach. Just wanted to trigger you guys a bit (as you mention it is partly a controversial issue for fans).

Yes, he is. And he is not as bad as many people think about him. But what he did after the world cup 2014 and his decisions are partly really strange. 2016 and 2018 was a farce. He could have put together a super team, but he preferred to create his own monument and failed. I do not thing that this transition was to tough just his decisions were bad and made him fail it.
And you could see again that he is really not flexible in the games against France and Hungary. Germany has no ideas what to do if a team plays good defense. I do not see any possibility how to win against England if he doesn't change something in his systems and who plays if we do not have a lot of luck and score before England does.

Hendo is ready to start now, and they need a leader in the middle.

Foden needs to be in there. I think something like

Pickford
James Maguire Stones Shaw
Hendo Rice
Foden Grealish Sterling
Kane

Southgate will play 8 at the back like he always does and will hope for the best. This Germany team look a bit shit, and are probably the team England would most likely beat out of those 3 from the group of death.

I might buy a Germany shirt. It will be fucking hilarious to see them dish out a hammering at Wembley. Brazil 1 Germany 7 stuff.

We're entering a golden age of English attacking talents, with sterling, Sancho, grealish, foden, saka and mount, all fighting to flank one of the premier league's most lethal marksmen ever.

And England STILL look fucking shit going forward.

England 5 - 1 Germany

Grealish to score all five goals, assists all five with enough time to score an own goal too.

He will be knighted and mentioned in the Encyclopedia Britannica after this match.

4-2-3-1

GK - Pickford. No one else has had a chance so he's a shoe-in.

FBs - Agree with James but not Shaw. Shaw gave the ball away far too much vs. Czech and was caught out of position a few times. I'd go with Chilwell but his lack of games is an issue. Wouldn't be surprised to see Trippier there again. He did have a decent game last time out and is a better defender than Shaw. Although I really like James I have to say defensively Walker has been excellent. Difficult choice, I'd be OK with either.

CBs - Unless Stones doesn't recover in time (in which case it will be Mings) then he and Maguire are certs.

Central Midfield - I can see Southgate being very conservative to start the game (meaning Rice & Philipps) and with three clean sheets that may be understandable. Personally I thought Hendo was much better pairing, with Phillips, more aggressive, better forward passing and Hendo offers great crossing from deeper. I'd drop Rice though Southgate won't.

Advanced Midfield - Due to the number of minutes on the pitch some are ruled out already. I thought we looked miles better with Grealish & Saka starting and I'd go with Saka over Foden (who has offered virtually nothing bar one shot hitting the post, so far) on the right.

Grealish could play left or centre but it's Mount or Sterling on the left so Grealish goes centre. Of course Southgate is going to start Sterling (who despite his two goals has given the ball away more than anyone else in the squad) however it would be Mount for me.

Striker - It is going to be Kane so no point in even theorising.

This won't be the team as Southgate will revert to his favourites but it would be mine. As the stats below show we need to be far more creative, and way more productive, this team gives us that whilst retaining most of the defensive strength we've show so far.

.............................................. Pickford

James ............. Stones ........................... Maguire ............... Trippier (prefer Chilwell but no minutes)

.................................................... Phillips
....................................... Hendo

..... Saka ............................. Grealish ...................... Mount

................................................ Kane

Kane has been shit. He's undroppable but I think if it wasn't Germany it would be the time to try either Calvert-Lewis for his running & presence or Foden as false 9.

England need to get as many of Grealish, Foden, Saka, Mount, Sancho on the pitch as possible, and at the expense of Kane if possible. Those 4/5 would annihilate Germany in an open game (which it will be).

They should play Saka and Foden, but Sterling for some reason is considered as "the man".

All the Germans think England will win.
The English think the Germans will win.
The players are all world class.
The managers are shit.
The pitch will be filled with cunts from City, Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal.
I can't wait to see this. Hope there's extra time and everyone is buggered at the end of it.

Interestingly I've heard the stat that Saka has 3 MotM performances from the 5 times he's started. Can't leave him out.

It's going to be close, one goal difference. My gut feeling is that Pickford has a tiny-armed howler in him.

Yeah, agree. I see it turning out 1-0 or 2-1 to whichever side is best placed mentally on the day.

To me that makes Germany likely favourites, but the favourites don't always win.
