According to Voetbal International, Zenit St Petersburg have made a fourth offer for Christian Eriksen, but for the fourth time the Danish midfielder has turned them down.
(Sorry Ross & Ryan):
Twitter is shit.
Send memo to BR and transfer committee. 😀From what I understand, Eriksen's best position is in the middle and his secondary position is on the left wing. Most of his goals seem to come from the left flank, when he shoots with his right foot.
If Eriksen were to play together with Coutinho, this could provide for a nice dynamic of interchanging positions, with Coutinho starting on the left, but naturally drifting to the middle and Eriksen starting centrally and drifting to the left. With both of them being highly intelligent and energetic runners, this could make some defenses very uncomfortable. They will definitely have something else to think about other than how to stop Suarez.
I really hope we sign him. He has turned down City not so long ago and has turned down a few clubs in the last 12 months in the reports are to be believed.
He is a very good footballer. Is there something we are missing?
Maybe he isnt very good at football. Just a shot in the dark like.
It's odd - you'd think it's that but he's rejecting the clubs (City, Chelsea as a kid, etc)
Could be trying to keep improving for a shot at Barca or Madrid.
I'm under the impression Ericksen is waiting a move to suit him or he'll go free next season.
He has already said he will not move for free but would sign a new contract for Ajax. Siem De Jong and Daley Blind have both done this.
It's weird. He fits the bill, is affordable but no one wants to touch him with a barge pole.
My guess is he's hoping for a move to one the elite clubs in Europe, but none of them seem to be interested.

I don't think it's that. I reckon he wants to go where he thinks he'll fit in. If Dortmund for example had've followed up their interest with a bid he'd be gone and we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. Similarly I think if we go in for him he'll jump at the opportunity because we're a young team, playing the right kind of football and he can continue his development unimpeded by an array of 30M signings.
So you think he's an intelligent footballer with the foresight to put his career before money?
More chance of finding rocking horse shit.
I do. That is why he turned down City and he is currently turning down Russian sides. He seems happy enough to stay at Ajax if something more suitable does not come up.
