True, but it's also been completely exposed.
The midfield is a complete shambles, a totally mishappen mess that was obvious to all. No width, space left to get at the flanks, no speed at CB on the counter, and Barry and Lampard left to do something they can't, control the pace and play of the game.

The whole team needed ditching after the last tournament and should have been built up by new, young players who can play together.
We've been a cobbled together selection of 'star's' for far too long, and no manager has had the guts to shake it up.

I kind of want to be an England fan, but I'm glad I'm not. Apologies to the England fans here, I feel your pain, I do. But I find this rather funny.
England fucking suck.
I fucking hate the complacency and arrogance of English fans, players and media based on absolutely fuck all other than something that happened nearly 50 years ago. Germany aren't amazing but they're miles better than England. They have a long way to go to be thought of as serious competitors on the world stage.

Germany are better. They are better technically, defensively, tactically, offensively - everything. And you're right, they're nothing special. England are even worse.

I really don't think that England were lazy. They were playing in a stupid system that they clearly aren't confident with, against a good counterattacking side with more technical ability.
