This is based on league only.
Kenny chose to loan our two most creative midfiwlders. Chose to sign some poor players. Chose to ignore maxi all year. Chose to not play Carroll.
A piss poor year from Kenny.

I think Oncey and the count have it pretty spot on. I think counts 4 for Downing is nearer the Mark, I would have gone three as he has been pretty dreadful. I think Skirts might get an extra mark.

We will agree to disagree but think downing has been dreadful for the money we have paid for him (yes he didnt set his fee). Struggling to count one hand the decent games he has had for us in the league.

Didnt he have the most assists from crosses for villa last year?

hendo is has been largely invisible for the season, may have potential but as with downing he didnt show enough

Luis, he maybe a twit and if he was playing for someone else we would hate though you cant deny his footballing ability this season.

If you want nice unassuming chap, see downing. If you want to a winner see Luis/Rooney

The positives:

Agger: Kept himself fit and was available for most of the season. Showed what a world class defender he is when fit.

Skrtel: Raised his game and has stepped up when Carra faltered. IMO player of the season.

Suarez: Carried us for most of the season. Our most creative outlet and threat in front of goal. Too bad he has to do the creating and scoring by himself.

Carroll: Showed that hard work pays off. Has shrugged off the criticism and is showing his potential. Never worth £35 Million still, but he's a keeper.

Other than that, there's nothing.

He's a legend - but legends are in the past. Carragher should not play again for the first team.

Over the course of the season, I'd say Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Suarez & Bellamy have been above average. So, everyone else 5 or less.

I think Gene's pretty close to the mark with a couple of exceptions.

No way is Downing a 2; he's certainly not been a success but seriously, some of the chances he created that were spurned by our strikers is astonishing. More like a 4.

Lucas a 9? I doubt anyone here doesn't know that I think he's great but a 9 is a little generous.

Henderson a 7? Again, very generous. I reckon you could just about take the 2 extra points for Downing off Hendo's score. He may well be trying but he's not effective.

Finally Enrique; he finished the season very poorly and may well not come back but his first 6 months should see him getting well above a 4. Maybe a 6??
