Qualified for the Europa league but need to win one more qualifying round to get to the CL.
Still a great victory.

The first team I managed in CM back in 2000!

Always will have a soft spot for them.

I spat out my tea when I read your initial post, still a great result for them and Irish football.

My old man played for them at the end of his career in the early 70's when Tuohy was Manager. They lost 12-0 to Liverpool in Europe. Nothing to worry about though C/0 as you're a Liverpool supporter too! 😉

Strangely enough I was on their books during Tuohy's time too. Never made it past the reserves though, in part due to my own lack of dedication in fairness.

A good friend of mine from Dundalk is ecstatic at this, he's hoping to play Brentan in the next round. Saw the game with radio commentary from Dundalk FM. Commentator was doing it through his phone, phone called and he answered it on air. Radio/line went dead as he answered the call, so they played music for about 5 mins until he was back on the phone. Brilliant

This is the bit were we acknowledge that @Ryan actually scored a Champions League goal in qualifying.

Then team he scored for are still the recipient of one of my favourite football chants.

That ranks as a major achievement in my world. Fair play Ryan

Young Boys knocked Shakhtar out via penalty shootout (4-2).
Shakhtar had a penalty saved and one hit the crossbar whereas Young Boys missed 1.

Rostov, who were dubbed Russia's Leicester last season knocked Anderlecht out 4-2 on aggregate too.

Some traditional powerhouses falling away.
