dressing room unrest?

Am i the only one who cringes when a Liverpool manager seems to say so often 'these are competitive players who nearly won the league last year' or a slight variation of that. It's like he wants to remind people of what they nearly did and how we almost won it. As if everyone doesn't already know! Stop trying to big yourself up on the back of failure. I don't remember Evans , Houllier or Benitez go on and on about how they almost won things. And this doesn't mean that i didn't enjoy last season but as i'm sure a lot of fellow reds would agree the closer we have gotten to winning the league in the last 25 plus years the harder it has been when we ultimately fail.

Gerrard has had a tough year. He's probably half on the edge of packing it all in. I doubt he's great company right now anyways.

Yeah, I've read a bit about that. Looks like its taken its toll as he now always look like he hasnt slept in days.
Like he hooked up with you and went to Berlin before a game. 😉

Isn't it known that Gerrard and Lovren fell out, with Rodgers backing Gerrard hence why Lovren was dropped for weeks?

It's obvious that there's fractures and I'd bet Gerrard is at the heart of it. I can't really blame him - he's seen the team fall apart again after us being on the brink of success. How can you not lose your rag with the shower of shit that has come in and failed to deliver. Once Gerrard goes, we have no player of any repute. Sterling is our main asset but he'll be gone before long - his agent will see to that.

Maybe the squad are pissed at him for costing them all a medal last year?

My mate just got back from a week in Islamabad and is planning on moving there for six months in the new year. I was watching the match with him on Sunday and he was going on about how ace it is and how lovely everyone is, how welcoming etc, and how safe it all felt. Nuts all this though innit.

Everywhere feels safe until your heads get chopped off on the internet. I know this from experience.

For those of us who aren't macca (or French) here are some examples of the work of German artist, Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840)...

He's actually my favourite painter. Some of his landscapes are breathtaking - not these so much (except for the first one, which is probably his most famous of all).

I certainly hope so, though I did not appreciate Lovren making a mistake and immediately bawling Markovic out to try and deflect attention from himself at one point.

Do you honestly think a win against an under strength championship team proves anything?

It'll be interesting to see what happens on Sunday.

It was only a draw, but the players looked up for it and together. I think they might just have belatedly adopted the necessary siege mentality. So, yeah, the last week or so, coupled with the managers new aggression makes me think there is little , if any, dressing room unrest.

Exactly, the point Local was trying to make post Bournemouth, it was positive and about as close as we've been to cohesive and resembling the side from last year. It's a spring board and it looked like it continued into yesterdays game. The positive lineup helps though, bigtime.
