11 games. 11 wins.

Would that give anyone calling for Klopp reason to think again about him?

Definitely, I was always very pro Klopp, I think I still am a little, but last season was very worrying, and this season is even more worrying, it makes me wonder that in getting Klopp we'd be getting a ship that's already sailed.

It could just be the honeymoon period that often happens when a new coach takes charge. The true test comes when they've lost one or two. You can only really judge the new Dortmund coach after a season or so.

I think the success at Dortmund is largely down to the set up behind the scenes. I don't think Klopp would necessarily come here and be a success.

From that :
A prime issue for Klopp’s Dortmund throughout the 14/15 season was their at-times extremely ineffective positional structure during possession, especially through the construction from defence. As I previously mentioned, they looked devoid of a guideline throughout numerous matches. The opposition were happy to sit back and let Dortmund create their own issues for long periods of the 90 minutes.A prime issue for Klopp’s Dortmund throughout the 14/15 season was their at-times extremely ineffective positional structure during possession, especially through the construction from defence. Does that sound familiar?

Reminds me a lot about the Rafa system. Gundogan the "destroyer" play higher up the pitch than the playmaker to protect him and give him more time.

Rafa also had that idea about forcing an error and winning possession high up the field being the most likely way to create a goal scoring chance.

Klopp sounds just like Brendan, although maybe his greater experience and standing would allow him to tell the owners the setup is shit and exactly what the problems are. Doubt it though, managers love control.

They had a very good second half to last season and had a number of good seasons with Klopp. It wouldn't give me reason to think again about him. I wouldn't expect him to be a saviour but he'd surely be an upgrade on the dickhead we have in charge now.

Arent they close to full strenght and dont have any injuries now? Gundogan getting back to fitness and his best certainly helps. The midfield 4 have all played every game so far.
A bit lazy to compare only the last year when thing obviously werent good seeing as he was there for 7 years and won 6 throphies.
His league finishes are as follows: 6th, 5th, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 7th. You should judge him for that whole periode.

Think there are a number of reasons why it didnt work as planned last season, but the start they've made now doesnt change the fact that Klopp is a very good manager.
You could argue that they're signings this season have worked out great while last season it didnt. They didnt replace Lewandowski who had been their top scorer for the last 3 seasons.

Its still between Ancelotti and Klopp if Rodgers goes imho.

So spot on they typed it twice.

I'm hoping this is the bracket of managers we're shopping in, but I'm genuinely not sure.

Part of my reticence to get rid of Rodgers is that I don't want to do it at all costs...it has to be for an unquestionably better option. Sounds like Klopp may be stalking the Bayern job, and Ancelotti will always be a name at the front of the queue for major CL sides. My love of LFC makes me want to believe that both would accept the role because its the best job in world football, and who wouldn't want to take it on, right?! My head says, we'd ditch Rodgers and end up getting Klinsmann

Nope, he's still. World class coach. If we don't get a move on, we'll miss the boat. Obviously that's assuming he would want the job, which I pretty sure he would

But Klopp doesn't need to sign big names, he'll come in and have us playing like a team. Like he did last season when he lost a few big players to injury.

Janujizz on loan.

Ramos and Immobile who were signed last season scored 5 goals between them in the league when trying to replace Lewandowski.
Burki is their new goalkeeper and Weigl has been an ever present in midfield. Hofmann has played 4 league games aswell.

who signed those players?

who signed those players?

Zorc the Sporting Director would be my guess. He signed all of the players while Klopp was there aswell bar Subotic I think.
Seeing as Tuchel had Park at Mainz I would guess he had something to do with that signing.

Who will sign players here if kloppester is the gaffa?

The appointment of Klopp would carry a high risk because he'll be given more responsibility than he's used to, or maybe would like, in a brand new, more competitive, more demanding league. I'd be much more confident in his success if we had a DOF set up similar to Dortmund.

Should we be after Zorc first?

Thats a good point. We probably should. With our current set up most managers would struggle. They'd get more out of the team probably but without that type of set up we wont succeed.

Zorc, Monchi or Sabbatini. Would probably be pretty tough to get any of them though.

It'd be interesting to see if any of his players would follow. We expected Rafa to bring in a few players but all we really got from Valencia was that Granddad at centre back. We need a structure through the middle of the team, a few dominant players.
