It's not about holding it, it's more his tendency to often palm shots back into the danger zone.

Having seen it again, I agree.

He needed to parry it wider of goal and not back into the central area.

Having said that, the defending to allow Pullisic to cut inside and shoot wasn't great. Moreno needed help/cover from either Milner or Keita there.

I feel for Karius too, because at least he showed genuine remorse after the final, but the sign of a good keeper is the ability to bounce back - he just isn't and won't. Klopp is right to publicly back him, it's just man management on the face of it, I have no doubt that in reality he's gone, hopefully sooner rather than later. He needs a fresh break and we don't need an unreliable keeper with a poor mentality.

I think Solanke scored several in the pre season last year and was largely disappointing last season. Pre season for me is no indication on how well each players will do?

Solanke seems to be struggeling even more due to him playing a bit out wide. He had one lovely pass to Moreno and one header he should have gotten on target. Other than that he was largely disappointing and lost the ball nearly every time he got it.
