Insignificance

Just a straight Yay or Nay... Not a lot of ifs and buts. We are done for this season so do YOU want Klopp from the summer?

Does Klopp want us though?

Klopp or De Boer for me. Dont think the squad need a massive overhaul either.
Loads of talented players but missing in some key areas.

Klopp will end up at City if Bayern keep Pep.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's there's some sort of agreement in place already.

I like Rodgers, but he's signings overall are bollocks, and I'm not convinced the players want to play for him. Loads of them seem disinterested half the time. Granted he gives youth a shot, but that's all good and well if you're doing well, which we're not.
He's had one great season on the back of Suarez.

I would say yes on the grounds of attracting better players. But given the fact we have the fifth highest wage bill and sit fifth in the league I'm not so sure it would make a bit of difference.

Did Kompany, Zabaleta, Robinho or Tevez give a fuck who Mark Hughes was when they signed for City?

Klopp would probably convince one or two to come our way sure but would that make a real difference in signing the real top players?

Valid Points.

But Klopp is a character and offer a lot more than a tanned smile and a Nice painting.... He knows his stuff. Whereas Rodgers runs 3 or 4 different systems in the FA cup semi fucking final...

Didn't Klopp work under a DoF? so if he is game then that would fit FSG well as they wanted a DoF to work with BR. here is to hoping!

I do agree even though I don't really want to give up on Rodgers, I think he should've dropped the back 5 setup today.

It just seems a bit mad dropping one coach in favour of another who had a disaster of a season, I'd also be concerned that a lot of Klopps success is down to scouting / director of football or whatever recruiting and coaching systems are in place at Dortmund. For all we know throwing Rodgers into a Dortmund setup would see him being considered a top coach.

Yay for me. Don't think BR is a bad manager, but I don't see what so special about him either. Totally out of his depth in the CL, average in the league, and looks as though he's lost the team.

His comment about the occasion getting to the team today said it all. If you can't prepare your players for today then you're not good enough.

Having said that, he's young and not really experienced at this level. Same goes for his squad. So would I be gutted if the board backed him and have him time to develop, not really.

No idea about Klopp but De Boer certainly works under a strict structure.

The main problem with this is of course that if we have a shockingly shite structure then it doesn't really matter that much who we have as manager.

The thing with Klopp is as brilliant as his sides have been, he's still almost got them relegated this season.

The amount of shite Rodgers talks makes me tire of him and Klopp would be a breath of fresh air in more ways than one. However, at least Rodgers hasn't got us in a relegation battle!

I've a feeling things have gone sour behind the scenes for Rodgers and I reckon that if we can get Klopp, we will.

Ideally if we get an experienced manager in then he could be able to advise the club on what the structure should be. And if FSG are dead set on a DOF or a transfer committe then the next manager should be capable of suiting that style of management and wouldn't be put off by it. The structure of signing players at the moment clearly isnt up to scratch and the motivational side of the game is hopeless when it comes to important games. Changing systems that many times in a game smacks of desperation rather than tactical genius.

I'm sure Klopp's shite talk wouldn't become that endearing if we were losing.
Like Ballotelli he's funny when he's someone else's problem.

I really doubt there's been any progress. Fans these days get almost sexually excited when a manager comes in and waffles on about tactics, but beneath the white noise blather is a bloke who's basically made us a more expensive version of Swansea. He's still managing Swansea. Swansea is his level.

Klopp is a top manager and seems to be a great character, one of my favorite managers in the game.

However I would not get rid of Rodgers to get Klopp. Definitely not. I think Rodgers is in the right place, he has the right ideas and his ambition is to build something big here. And the idea that Klopp will attract bigger names just by virtue of him being here is a pure fantasy. Tell this to Lewandowski, Goetze, Sahin, and Kagawa who all left Dortmund at the first opportunity - the stature of the club and the MONEY is all that matters.

his ambition is to build something big here.

All managers here - save Hodgson - have had that ambition. But after more than three years, he's already facing RE-building his team. He's fucked up. We've wasted several years and a fortune making him a better manager to leave to take charge of a mid-table team. He's not helped us. We've helped him. He can talk and talk and talk but he's taken us nowhere.

For whatever reason Dortmund's DoF is being seen as a crucial/ one of the main factors in Klopp's success there, I'll just like to repeat this:

and have a look at this (Michael Zorc was appointed BVB´s sporting director in 1998. Remember how they almost went bankrupt in 2005?)

[article]"We would never again go into debt in the pursuit of sporting success, now we only spend what we have earned," said Watzke.[/article]
Perhaps we should bring in their CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke instead. 😎
Oh, or Mainz's Christian Heidel as DoF (promoted Klopp from player to manager and Thomas Tuchel from U19 manager to first team manager)

I know that this is reactionary shit but I died a little inside watching us play today. We were abject shite and it was largely down to Rodgers.
I want Klopp.

Dortmund are presently 9th, and there's 6 points separating the teams from 5th to 9th. So it's not really a relegation battle.
