Yep, and we can take Cahill of their hands as part of the deal.

..........just to keep Modo happy.

U know it.

wilson is being judged on his peformances at fullback, a tad harsh. how good would a 20 year sami look at left back early in his playing career?

True. He's still young and has a lot of time to improve.

Considering Wilson was a Kenny target from ages ago I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a lot of him.

There is something good there, much like Shelvey.

I am glad that the last few posts have been a little more cerebral than many that have gone before, young lad played out of position.......................... QED he is shit

It'd be fantastic if we can send him out to a club like Bolton.

If you're going to buy young players you can't have them wasting away on your bench.

Sending him out on loan to another Premier League club doesn't mean anyone thinks he's shit. He needs games, we're probably not in a great position to give him games here so best to send him somewhere he will get them at a decent level.

We can always bring him back if he does well. Just make sure his contract isn't going to expire while he's gone!

according to the commentators on today's Scotland match, Liverpool are keen for Wilson to go out on loan to a Championship side.

looks like he might be leaving us this week.

Personally I would have hoped that a Premier League side came in for him but if he gets to play every week in the championship then I guess it will be better for him than to go back to Scotland.

Definitely. Has anyone seen him play for Rangers? Is he actually any good?

I can't see much of a future here for him to be honest.

Came on for the last 20 mins with Scotland 1-0 up.

Lost his man in the build up to Czech's first goal and then gave away a penalty :-X

FT 2-2

Didn't touch the man in fairness.

Wasnt a penalty, so no fault on Wilson. Dive all day.

He isnt a left back though, so why Levein put him there is the biggest question he'll have to ask himself.

Scotland were denied a penalty at the end aswell.

Yes, when the Scottish player tried a dive he was booked for his trouble! Very amusing! ;D

Wilson was very good at centre back against Exeter (I know). Seems to have bulked up a bit.

As has been said, those writing him off for a shit game at left back are fairly ridiculous.

Remember the much more experienced Skrtel's first game at right back?

Exactly so, a peach of a dive, the Czechs have been fine exponents of this art-form over the years

I had a bet on Scotland to win 2-1 (9/1), and then that giant fucking knobhead dives. He should be banned for life.

Danny Wilson admits that he may have to go out on loan if he is to get first team football this season.
The former Rangers defender has played for Liverpool only once this season, and has been dropped from the Scotland squad for this month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Spain.
"There's nothing worse than not being able to go out on the pitch on a Saturday and play," he admitted.
"But I need to just keep my head down and hopefully I'll either get some game time at Liverpool or get the chance to go somewhere else and try and prove myself."
When asked about Liverpool's fortunes this season and whether they expect to be back in Europe next year, he added: "It just depends how the next couple of months go.
"You can be realistic, you can change your aims and where you want to be, but obviously the higher we finish the better.
"We want to get back in the Champions League, obviously, but first and foremost we need to make sure we're in a good position to do that."

LIVERPOOL defender Danny Wilson is Blackpool’s latest transfer target.

The 19-year-old Scotland international is available on loan and the Seasiders are believed to be leading the race for his signature.

Wilson, who is a left-sided central defender, was high on Ian Holloway’s wish list in the summer but a deal couldn’t be done.

The Gazette understands that Wilson had been set to join Nottingham Forest until the sacking of Steve McClaren killed that deal and opened the door for him to join Liverpool team-mate Jonjo Shelvey at Bloomfield Road.

Wilson made eight appearances for the Reds last season, including games in the Europa League and Carling Cup.

A former Under-17, 19 and 21 international, Wilson broke into Craig Levein’s senior Scotland side last season and now has five full caps.

Meanwhile, talks are continuing between Blackpool and striker Lomana Lualua.

The former Newcastle and Portsmouth hitman has been training with the Seasiders and played in an inter-squad friendly at Bloomfield Road last week. He impressed during the practice game, scoring with a superb 30-yard strike.

He should have gone out on loan 12 months ago, there was talk of it then.

Agreed. Yet another case of millions spent on potential only to have them rot in the stands.

Wilson is good enough to play for a decent side somewhere and we've decided to keep him for what?

Well we started the season with injuries to both Agger and Skittles and we sold the Greek. We did bring Coates in but it still made sense to see how he settled before allowing Wilson to go anywhere.
