Cup talk - Spurs at home

FT, good result, young players did well, Sturridge made a good case from himself to play more often, first team players almost all rested.

Cant complain.

Love the fact this means so much to INGS. Keep him for that alone. We need that kind of player, and of course I really think he'll fit in well with JK style.

Brilliant performance from a majority of the squad

Sturridge electric, ejaria superb, origi a fantastic foil, and in grujic we've got ourselves a gem

Someone else can tell me what Klopp says, I wanna watch Ripper Street before I have to deal with sick kids again in an hour or so.

Jon Moss really needs to lay off the kebabs. How is he declared fit enough to ref two Prem teams?

That was great. I didn't think Klopp had been cautious enough but fair play to him, that'll do the kids the world of good. The highlight for me was Alexander-Arnold eagerly getting a hug from Klopp.

I thought Lucas was magnificent guiding the younger ones through the game, and he kept playing simple but sensible passes.

Ejaria was really good. Grujic, I'm still unconvinced,

Wijnaldum is a silky and subtle player who's winning me over, but he doesn't anticipate well - when the ball broke unexpectedly he was caught napping. Three times.

Great to see Origi looking more like the player he was last season. He's a great prospect.

Frustrating that whenever Ings comes on he hardly ever gets good service, but the crowd was brilliant singing his name.

And Studge - great job.

AA and Stewart did well tonight. Origi is boss. Studge is finished...lol.

Ings looked stoked.Grujic is a talent.

Good win but should have been more.

I like Niall Quinn, but I don't get why he was so obsessed with Spurs' pressing game, didn't he notice that was our game, too???

Great result all things considered.

Completely new 11

Ming played well, I'd keep him in the team.

Arnold was superb
Lucas was fantastic up until that needless penalty which I don't think was a peno but shouldn't have given the ref the option.
Moreno almost cost us again as that was more of a penalty the dope.
Grujic didn't impress me.
Ejarau will never make it at Liverpool, doesn't have quick enough feet for an attacking player
Origi was excellent and deserved a goal
Winuldjsm was very effective and hid through ball was class
Studge did exactly what he needed to do. I said I wanted him to start and score and he did that well. Should have had more.
Nice little cameo from Ing

I agree. Very mature.
Perhaps I'm being harsh but I wanted to see him effect the game in the final third, I didn't see him beat players with pace, didn't see him waltz past anyone, saw him shrugged off the ball a lot and never saw any of our real chances coming from one of his passes.
Origi on the other hand beat people all over the place, showed bags of pace and power and played some wonderfully dangerous passes.

Maybe it will come but I didn't any evidence of that tonight
