I usually start Xmas shopping around August but since August I've had a big birthday for the missus to deal with and my daughter's 18th, which has left me not starting shopping until about 6 weeks ago (which is really late for me!). Anyway, got most of it done strangely quicker than normal, I'm almost done 😀 Though town was fucking manic today and it's only going to get worse!
What's the general consensus on here re the festive season?? Typical blokey "Bah Humbug" or do we love it?
It's ridiculously overblown and expensive, especially for us parents, but I still love it and probably enjoy the buying part as much as anything, I don't 'feel it' as much as I once did but I do always try and get into things and love all the sentimental shit that goes with it.
