Bertrand now that's funny all the folk that moaned we were interested lol 🙂
Well done our little Brazilian

Really am a little puzzled couts is in there, along with being in the shortlist for PFA player of the year. Don't get me wrong he's a quality little player when on it, but i still don't think he does it often enough. He was quiet before xmas but great in the next three months. Congrats all the same.

Surprised fabregas isnt in it, leading assist this season, likewise unbelievable Kun ain't there. Cahill lucky to be in it I reckon.

Surely a misprint, everyone knows its Lallana that makes sh*t happen in our team.

On a serious note, fair play to him for making the team but how in gods name is Aguero not in there?

Because England's saviour, Harry Kane, is the best player to grace the game since Bobby Moore.

That and the fact that Aguero went through a drought when the votes were cast. If you happen to play well when the voting takes place - or you go through a slump - the nominations look very different.

Why they vote before the run in at the end of the season baffles me.

They should be voting every month of the season, I think.

Ever since he scored those couple of wonder goals he's seen his stock go up massively.

The Rooney Effect.

How did Hazard not win the young player of the year?

How was Hazard up for the award? He's 24!

The young player of the season award should only be open to players who were under 21 years old the day of the community shield or something like that.

But it shows how stupid footballers are. Hazard should have won both.

It's down as 23 or younger at the beginning of the season. I agree it should be 21 though.

Aguero is expected to be in and around the top scorer list so he probably suffers in voting for this because he's just doing what he's supposed to

It's probably also because he's scored four goals in his last three games, and he wouldn't have been top scorer when this vote took place. It's pretty tight between the top three, it's not as if Aguero is miles ahead.

I was listening to newstalk this morning and they suggested that Terry should have been in with a shout for the player of the year. I find it hard to disagree, there hasn't really been any outstanding attackers this year, and the defence is what Chelsea have won the title with. Essentially you know they won't concede when they go ahead, and a huge part of that is Terry.

Poor old Mignolet. Highest number of clean sheets, could well win the golden gloves and still doesn't even get a mention.

Am I the only one who is surprised Coutinho got into the team?
Same amount of goals and assists as Falcao, who's wildly laughed at

Less goals and assists than fabregas

Is carzola there?

Falcao's a striker though. That's why he's taken flack, because he hasn't scored nearly enough to justify his massively inflated wage. I agree, there are other players who could and should be in there, like I said about Cazorla and Fabregas, but the Falcao comparison is lame.

And anyway, fuck it, shouldn't we be happy that one of ours is in there? As much as I'm trying to objective about the whole thing, it's great that he got in there.

I was just finding someone who had the same number of goals and assists.

Downing has more of a case in being in that team than Coutinho.

Your anti-Coutinho bias knows no bounds.
Whilst normally I'd enjoy the joke, 7 assists and 5 goals for downing this year.

I'm happy for Coutinho, but he's in that team because he had a few fantastic performances and scored a few worldies around January.

Fantastic player, delight to watch, well worth his place in the best XI.

Plus he signed a new contract with no fuss and has no off-field baggage.

Good enough for me
