I've heard of two murders in the last two days.
One case involved the wife of someone I know through work quite well. She was out walking her dog and some guys stabbed and killed her. No apparent reason, just wrong place, wrong time.
The other was an old friend of my dad's, someone who was around a lot when we were younger, but not someone my dad had had much to do with in recent years, he had a long running dispute with a member of his extended family. He shot and killed the guy.
Crazy. I don't get what drives people to do. The first, no doubt, is hard for anyone to relate to, but I guess people can empathise a bit more with a situation when a member of their family is being threatened or has been hurt.
