Insignificance

Bad to the bone

There was a lot of complaints about Moores last years in charge, but nowhere near the noise we have heard towarss the current owners. Now when the club is up for sale, what kind of ownership do people really want here??

X2

In any order:

1. Chinese
2. Multi billionaires
3. An addiction to signing world class players
4. With a phobia of debt
5. A deep-rooted passion for building the ultimate stadium

I want owners who are willing to invest but also have a good business model to make us

a) successful on the pitch
b) eventually debt-free and profitable
c) financially sustainable whilst retaining success

A die hard Liverpool fan with bottomless wealth who won't interfere with team affairs. Someone who has a desire in building an empire on and off the pitch.

Sadly the reality is a lot crueler than the dream.

They're sound little fellas imo.

A single incredibly competitive person, who has massive investment capital, who would consider Liverpool to be a fairly minor, but promising investment, who is professional through and through, and knows how to surround himself with polished, proven management and PR.

I don't care where they are from, I don't care if they "know football", I don't care whether they support liverpool. If they are a good businessman, they'll start being the world's biggest liverpool supporter the day they own it.

I was just there for my sister's wedding, and I'll speak strongly against a Chinese cabbie from Beijing being the winning 500M+ bid. Shifty bastards, but ultimately cowardly in the face of incomprehensible, much taller whiteys.

Tailors on the other hand, quite diligent, made me many nice suits. Incredibly attentive to detail. Good but fair with bartering. If they could get hundreds of millions of pounds together, perhaps in a consortium, I'm all for them.

I heard the other day that Arsenal are going to be debt free in 18 months, even with that new stadium. Shocking. They'll have built and paid off the stadium in the time its taken to get rid of Rafa.

Hopefully its an owner that can 'gift' the stadium, but also leave the club in position that its paying its own way. That little wanker from Uefa is bound to try and introduce some sort of laws governing debt and turnover.

The naivety of some posters on this site never fails to amaze me

The amount of people who have neglected to mention 'good cuisine' is fucking depressing

Oh, oh, I've got one.

I want them to have hair that can be made fun of, either in an endearing way or not.

Mr Dietrich Mateschitz, owner and founder of Red Bull, would be perfect for us.

Super rich, marketing pro, sports fan etc.

Sadly that won't happen though.

It was because of one of them (or two) that we're in the mess we are now.
