Sorry but ours could be a tricky draw. We certainly ought to get through, but they're dangerous and can spoil any party. We'll need to be well on our game.

Agreed. They are a very good side. Solid defensively and many dangerous attacking players. Will be two tough games I reckon but we'll be favourites and should go through.
All things considered, it could have been a lot worse.

Could be said about any opposition, but ultimately we if lost there would be a unanimous "we should have beaten them" sentiment. Which would be correct. Great draw for us for sure.

I think it's a good draw. A team in the middle in terms of strength to keep us on our toes and yet are totally winnable matches. Who's at home in the 2nd leg?

Porto are strong at home but don't travel as well. We have no excuses, we should be winning this. Manure and city will definitely go through. Chelsea are out but Spurs could possibly beat juventus.

Juventus v Tottenham
Basel vs City
Porto vs Liverpool
Sevilla vs United
PSG
vs Madrid
Shakhtar vs Roma
Chelsea vs Barcelona
Bayern
vs Besiktas

I can see Spurs beating Juve and Roma winning only because Shakhtar will still be in pre-season. Would be great to see RM out and crying.

I think Chelsea may beat Barca - they've given up on the league now, and Conte will want to win Big Ears.
Spurs-Juve & PSG-Madrid are a flip of the coin ...

I wanted Bradford City but I guess Porto will have to do.

Not bad. Fuck me that is by far the best draw we could have had !

Disagree. Shakhtar and Besiktas, and possibly Basel, could well cause fewer problems, tho' the first two would admittedly have involved more tiring journeys.

Shakhtar would involve an horrendous long Winter trip to the Ukraine. No thanks (even if they are in pre-season), freezing cold, & a long journey screams out for injuries. Besiktas have looked very good in the group stages. Maybe Basel but again I'd hate to play on their artificial turf in Winter.

I think we sais this easy thing in 2006 and got beat by the. Wary of anyone but probably will win.

Chelsea V Barca immediately brings up memories of Ronaldinho’s toe poke.

One of a handful of moments in my non-Liverpool life where I’ve jumped off the couch with a what-the-fuck-has-he-just-done reaction.

Genius.

There was one when Barca got a few (controversial) decisions going there way and drogba et al had a meltdown. It was hilarious

Any chance this will have any bearing on the Can contract situation? I mean we are going to win it and Juve are going to crash and burn right?
