Was a fairly even game that they could of lost. Ironic that Rooney might be the reason Moyes stays in a job.

Rooney and Moyes were saying it could have been 5 or 6 after the game, but that was shite. Man Utd started really well, but the Spanish came right back into it, and dominated swathes of the 2nd half. Could easily have been a draw or worse for Utd. And whilst Rooney does look much more the thing I think he was a bit self-indulgent and wasteful too.

United missed a few good chances but overall there were very few signs of improvement. Sociedad were the poorest Spanish team I've seen in the CL ever and should have been swept away after the stupid early own goal but they played their way back into contention and could have got a point. Overall a narrow Scum victory was about the right result on balance of play but. as I mentioned, it was against a very poor team.
