I'm disappointed with Poulsen as he's been rubbish so far; but we've replaced a top quality DM with someone who's being kept out by Sissoko. This was alwasy on the cards.
If Hodgson couldnt get a good DM he should have just changed the formations with Gerrard and Meireles.

Anyways he's been totally underwhelming so far but seriously most of our players have. Oncy said elsewhere that Gerrard is the only player so far who can hold his head up. I almost agree although I do believe Meireles have had a decent enough start. Konchesky for me has looked completely lost and he's even the one who's supposedly familiar with the style of play. Not very promising.
Imagine had we just bought Torres we'd all be seriously worried as he's looked nowhere near his best form either. And sadly for quite some time now ever since his very mediocre to crap WC.
Everyone is feeling the pressure and there's no real belief in the squad these days which obviously isn't helping any of the newcomers. Poulsen included.

Cheers mate perhaps it was before he got injured mid-Season then.
Anyways I still don't think Roy is betting all his money on Lucas. Injuries, form and the compressed fixturelist so far has given him a lot of playing time but there has been early indications that he won't feature when everyones fit and ready. I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed that's indeed the case.

Poulsen actually kept Sissoko out mate.
Anyways he's been totally underwhelming so far but seriously most of our players have. Oncy said elsewhere that Gerrard is the only player so far who can hold his head up. I almost agree although I do believe Meireles have had a decent enough start. Konchesky for me has looked completely lost and he's even the one who's supposedly familiar with the style of play. Not very promising.
Imagine had we just bought Torres we'd all be seriously worried as he's looked nowhere near his best form either. And sadly for quite some time now ever since his very mediocre to crap WC.
Everyone is feeling the pressure and there's no real belief in the squad these days which obviously isn't helping any of the newcomers. Poulsen included.
I've been as downhearted by our performances so far as the next man but we simply has got to give Roy and the new players at bit more time to try and prove themselves. Everything else would not be in the right spirit.

Anyways I still don't think Roy is betting all his money on Lucas. Injuries, form and the compressed fixturelist so far has given him a lot of playing time but there has been early indications that he won't feature when everyones fit and ready. I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed that's indeed the case.
