Poulsen seems to be very pedestrian and one paced. He is coming to the end of his career so he won't improve in that regard so what hope is there to cling to?. He is a very experienced and 'was' a tidy player during his spell at Sevilla. He has always played at decent level and had a reputation for having the ability to ruffle a few feathers, his 'job' on Kaka was sublime. I was expecting a snarling, tough tackling hard bastard. Instead we got a slow, soft, passenger.
It's very hard to warm to. No one really wanted him, his career was winding down and we waved goodbye to Aqualani who went in the other direction. Also we we're spoiled with the pace, power and dynamism of Javier Mascheano last season. Poulsen is an older slower version with less talent. Of course that was going to be hard to swallow. He doesn't have a future here, any new manager will want to replace him for a younger, more mobile version.

Well, with Roy at the helm we will soon see a lot of players run off, and they will all be replaced mediocre shit like Poulsen.
