So for those in the UK, what steps do you have to take to be able to take the vaccine? And do you get special privileges if you do? Will they allow you to go out?
Thanks.I think people are contacted when the group they are in becomes eligible for a vaccine. It is generally age order but also with at risk groups.
No special privileges as far as I am aware. The majority of the population won't be offered it for ages yet.
There are no restrictions in the UK that require people to stay at home at the moment anyway.
Thanks.
I thought you weren’t allowed to mingle with people outside your group?
Well, that's Christmas cancelled. Here everything is to remain shut (apart from essential shops) until the 7th of Jan.
Magic.
At least I can still buy beer.
Fuck off.Meanwhile in Melbourne - I can now wear my face mask as a hat, protecting my bald head from The Lying Rag, all the shops are open and pubs & restaurants are cranking up.
Is London actually going into Tier 3 or what? Was planning on going on the piss next Friday and the advance tickets are dead cheap... but kinda pointless if it's cans in the park
I always imagine Ireland to be a bit like Scotland..That's a bit random, no?
That's definitely Northern Ireland, not so much the south as it (was) about 95% Catholic.I always imagine Ireland to be a bit like Scotland..

In NI you can nail someone's religion with 2 or 3 easy questions: 1) What's your name? 2) Where are you from? and if needed 3) What school did you go to?
In your case I would only need to get as far as "Where are you from" to come to a fairly accurate conclusion...And how do you pronounce the letter “h”?
In order to remove any doubt whatsoever.

For those of us (me) who are ignorant of this stuff, any examples and explanations etc?And how do you pronounce the letter “h”?

Well if it would come in on the Saturday after the review Wed you should be able to get the Friday & at least Sat daytime on the lash.Is London actually going into Tier 3 or what? Nationalists/Republicans tend to have Irish first names or really Catholic names like Bernadette and John Paul. They also tend to pronounce H as haitch. This is partly down to the school system as lots of nationalists are also Catholics and go/went to schools connected with the church. For those of us (me) who are ignorant of this stuff, any examples and explanations etc?

Unionists/Loyalists tend to have more typically British names and pronounce the letter H as aitch.
This is all a generic guide, there are always exceptions, some of the hardest Loyalists out there are also fluent Irish speakers and some of the hardest Republicans have names like George Mainwaring.
This lad here is looking his knees done.Could you not just ask them?
That's just one question instead of playing Columbo asking them their name, where they live..
Ooooh Just one more question, which school did you go? and how do you pronounce 'H'
I know a dude who was pretty high up in the uvf before being allowed to leave and move over here for a normalish life, and he supported Celtic. Said the amount of shit he got as a kid from everyone he knew was enormous but he didn't give a fuck.
It seems to be that the current arrangement helps Sinn Fein and the DUP to keep themselves in jobs and it won't change anytime soon, unless something changes it for them. Although the DUP shot themselves in the feet when they overplayed their Brexit hand.If you’ve never read Martin Dillon’s book on the Shankhill Butchers - it’s worth a read - actually all his books are.
Arguably one of the reasons Lenny Murphy did what he did, was because - with that name, where he grew up - it’s no wonder he turned into what he was.
Everything within that book - probably succinctly encapsulates the whole fucking shit show that Norn Iron was.
I’m not entirely sure it’s got substantively better - but I’ve only spent 2 out of the last 30 years there.
There was a point at the end of the 90’s where it felt vibrant- but it feels even more depressing every time I go back.
I've heard this before, but I'm not sure if there's anything to it. Is there?I'm a lifelong Catholic but when I was 15 (1970) someone told me Everton were the Catholic team in Liverpool. They were going well at the time and in fact won the title that season. Both these things made me more determined than ever to stay a Red and not rat out the club I'd chosen. One of my best decisions ever.
