The key here is of course to shut down Hazard and Jorginho (sp). Hazard is in great form, and the brazilian has 50% of Chelseas total passing. A huge job for our midfield. I don't feel confident that Hendo will step up and close Down any of that part of their game. I know he has done it from time to time through monster games, but equally often he has not managed to move his feet around fast enough. Hence I would use Milner and Wijnaldum in the engine room, and give Keita the role ahead of them.

If we manage to win the midfield Battle I feel quite comfortable that teh defence will Control their strikeforce (force?). Robbo and Trent are up for the tasks coming from wide (Willian is a threat though but we normally cope With that).

We are more than able to counter them if the rest is in place. Go red men!!

I have serious doubts about this game. Watching Henderson been turned inside out by Hazard scared the shit out of me. Their players are pretty good at striking the ball from distance and getting goals - ours need clear cut chances which they seem to be missing these days so I hope we can be at 100% tomorrow - anything less and we will lose for sure.

Yes .. but you're forgetting the fact that we are going to hump them dry then turn them over and urinate all over their twitching bodies

May I remind everyone that, as much as I'd hate to admit, they are still the only unbeaten team so far this season ? And that Sarri fella ain't no pushover either. In fact he's quite the tactical genius like our Klopp is. So I'd tread with a little precaution. Plus it's Stamford Bridge.

1-1 draw or a sneaky 1-2 VAR win for us.

VAR win?

Sniffing glue again? There is no VAR in the league

We have some big games coming up. I won't risk Virgil even if there is a 10% chance he might aggravate his injury.

Losing this will fuck up the weekend. Given both teams start to the season I’d be happy with a draw. A win would be fantastic, but a point wouldnt be a bad result.

We need to at least draw today. Napoli I'd take or leave, as we need to then go full throttle against City at Anfield.

Virgil van Dijk trained yesterday and is expected to be fit to start for #LFC today, according to Paul Joyce

“There is increasing confidence that he will return to the line-up today even if he must play through the pain barrier.”

The worry is, Chelsea have an injury to target. Good job that cunt Costa has gone.

As for Hazard, it's difficult to see how we control him, Henderson and Fabinho can't. Hendo struggled with him the other night and Fabinho is off the pace. I'm guessing it'll be Milner, Gini plus either Hendo or Keita.

Shutting down Jorgino is the key to disrupting them. To me thats not about detailing one of the midfielders to go man to man with him as that just opens space in the centre for them to exploit. Its about Firmino dropping off to prevent him getting time on the ball deep in their half, maybe dovetaling with Mane to harry him and forcing him to play at a very high tempo.

Hazard is their game changer, but id rather focus on cutting off his supply than stifling him when does get the ball. He drifts out of games when he doesnt see alot of the ball. If we strangle Jorgino and force them to hit long from the back then Hazard will be neutralised.

Lets not forget that we will be playing our first team forward line. They will be shitting themselves facing us coming forward as well. Too much talk about Hazard being the pivotal point of this game.

I’m more optimistic knowing that we’re starting our regular back five.
But this will be an extremely tough game.
