I really don't get the fear in this "I really wish we weren't playing them right now" attitude or "you just KNOW the media are willing Torres to score" stuff.
It's just one game in a long season, 3 points is all that's at stake. If I'd paid 50m for Torres I'd play him and the media have never been onside anyway. There would be hype around this fixture whether it was now or months down the line. It's a story. That's all.
We have a new manager, new players, the prospect of more signings soon, a new or improved stadium to look forward to, no money problems etc etc; we are coming into the game off the back of 3 straight wins and 3 clean sheets, they are at home and are favourites. What fear should we have really?
We should relish these games, Chelsea at the Bridge is a good test, I'm sure the players and fans will respond. The final result will mean little in the grand scheme of things. A few glorious moments for us or them to gloat and then on to the next 'crucial' game. We need to be inspired not fearful, those days have gone.
